    Hi Tony and Deb. Smashing video - lots of great cooking and food, spiced up with your usual banter that we love. As regards keeping warm in the awning, would recommend the Draught Stoppa from Jaid Designs (see our "Scotsman" skirt vid) - one of the best bits of kit we've bought. Delighted to see how much you're enjoying the new site. Keep the vids coming please. Take care. George and Trish.

    Just subscribed, as a seasonal pitch veteran get rid of the air awning rubbish! Porch proper poled or full awning the way to go, that air awning material will be like tracing paper in 2 years from new, trust me 👍🏻

    Hi Deb, Tony 👍🏻
    We are staying at Bryning Caravan park, Warton - 10 min from Donkey Creek and had really windy night last night- 50mph gusts and thought the van was going to blow over !so hoping your awning etc is still in place !!

    Check out Jaid designs for draught stopper, it is attached to the wheels with Velcro straps and also has a bar to attach draught skirt to which prevents it from sagging, cost between about £18 & £26 depending on axles, there is a postage charge but it is well worth it. Enjoy your time on your seasonal pitch

    Hi U2 your convector heater looks like a 2kw one so if you had it on for 1hr it would use 2kwh of electric so depending on what you pay for a kWh if you pay 20p say it would cost 40p and hour hope that helps 👍

    great video guys, as a new caravanner, I cannot understand spending 30k on a van and then living and cooking 90% of the time in the awning? Also I wonder when sites are going to put pitches on electric meters.

    • @thecaravanaddys
      @thecaravanaddys  2 года назад

      Our site is electric meters that get paid every month. The Awning gives you extra space. We go away with two other families and we like taking it in turn to cook and eat in each others caravans so the extra space comes in handy.👍

    Why have a tourer and have a seasonal pitch just get a static i know you are lovely people but are you defeating the principle of touring?

    • @thecaravanaddys
      @thecaravanaddys  Год назад

      Each to their own. At this moment in time this suits us. If we decide to go off and visit somewhere for the summer we can. We couldn't do that with a static.
