Hi Deb and Tony. Enjoyed your New Year trip - lot of fun in spite of the weather ! Quite right to insist on holding on to your van until the new one looks like arriving. No reason why you should be left without a van just because it might suit the dealers. Hope it all goes smoothly and looking forward to seeing it when it arrives. Take care. Good choice not handing the caravan in before your new one comes. Can’t help thinking the dealers wanted both end of a deal for them and to make money on the sale and then more money on the trade in.
Can only see more delays on new vans this year because of labour issues and isolating.
That's exactly why we're keeping hold of it 👍
Think you have made the right choice, if you was part exchanging a car you wouldn't give it to the dealer until your new one arrived. Happy New Year

Happy new year. Just got back from donkey creek 29th to the 2nd mostly full in old area and about 15 caravans/motor homes in new area too , looks like just a few bits to finish off,had a look at your pitch as im sure you said 51? im wandering too if they are building another shower block to cope with the volume . Good luck for march going seasonal there 👍

Firstly Happy New Year. The right decision we traded our old van and ended up being van less for 10 weeks and this was not for a new van. They said they needed it so they could do a service and check the old van out. I thought when they checked mine out I would get the new one in a week it took 8 to prep the one we were buying

we’re struggling with their 2022 orders due to a fire in
Cotingham at their shower tray supplier so who knows when you’ll get your new van

@@thecaravanaddys They said November/December. They are now saying it comes when it comes, no update. Part delays. Hopefully we get it very soon.

We were at Donkey Creek (Poulton bloke! remember?) and the guy behind us had just got his Elddis and was using it for the
first time - 14 months late!! Same could happen with Swift.Hasn't there been a fire at a supplier of shower units??

Def right decision - the way the dealer situation is - pulling out of shows due to stock shortage, they will struggle to meet orders and March delivery is over optimistic.
SL caravans would take yours and have it sold in days and someone else gets the benefit while you are sat at home with no van !!

Happy New Year to you both great vlog as usual . So your buying a new caravan and going seasonal? Wouldn’t the caravan you have now be good for seasonal as it will be static for most of the time . Or is your seasonal ware you can take your caravan of when you want and bring it back when you want . And what about storage site? 👍😀
Yea Ken we can take it of when we want but probably won't as there is so much to do close by there's no need and our storage yard are that good with us we have sorted things out with them, the van we have is perfect but we always said this would be our last van to buy so got to get it perfect which we think we have, thanks Ken 👍

The swift sprite is perfect but a little to small as we always go away with family and friends and do a lot of cooking for everyone

Hi looking at getting a caravan for the family ...how much would a seasonal pitch be roughly..I guess that means the caravan and awning can stay on same pitch all year and you can just turn up when you want
There usually about 3,000. But yeah the Awning and everything stays set up and you just roll up whenever you want.
You would not give your car up if trading in very strange way of dealing ....no way ....you hold on to your van
