@@jonathangoodwin5609 Journalist did so many mistakes in this fight. He should focus on that red one (stronger variation of normal type of enemy), and he got heavy punished by that. If he used guard option or debuff his attack he probably would survive. Mara filtered him so hard, because he not abuse enemy weakness and didn't use any of buffs and debuffs or items. He just spammed attacks like a casual.

Right here we see them give the player a choice having to do with this sandman, I don't know what the character chooses as I don't read Japanese but you can see Tao and Yoko enter a polite disagreement of sorts after you choose whatever option you chose heavily implying an alignment system.
