Living with Earl, Jr. His clothing store failed, his wife left him for Floyd. He tried to get another job in the media, but he was unable to get hired, especially after the hit piece in the news about the toxic fabric in his clothes. Floyd helped this along. He tried to be Johnny’s assistant, but was too incompetent for that and ended up as the janitor at the competing TV station. To this day, “the incident” that occurred on his shift with the floor waxer is still discussed. Once again, Floyd exploded the story.

Love, love SCTV. But I always wondered why the script/filming couldn’t be Canadian, instead of so explicity American. I noticed the same ‘let’s court Americans’ in the series ‘Corner Gas’. As a Canadian, I am disappointed in these unnecessarily American decisions.

I visited Toronto in the early 80s and don't remember smoking on the subway platforms, but then again, I was pretty wasted the whole time I was there. (Yeah, I had fun - I think.) But you saw people smoke on the subway platforms in NYC all the time. It's been against the rules for so long that when I see someone lighting up anyway, I am shocked.
