Game decides what I eat today | Gamification | Pygame | Python project

Today we are creating a simple game in Python using Pygame that will gamify our meals, because what better thing to do with my time than screw up my meals with my unnecessary programming skills.

Very cool, why is it better to use Rectange than just checking the x, y position?

Bro, for simple games there isn't much of bonus, but when you are using Rectangle class it comes with out of the box methods that check collision. Also you can combine shapes to create more complex hit boxes

I see you already have a good answer, but generally you can even use a mathematical formula to calculate the distance between 2 points. But for me this seems pretty complex for the purpose of the video.
