I've had a good experience with my Z170 Pro Gaming and Z390 Hero. I usually just buy ASUS because I like the features and the BIOS is honestly really nice to work with.
Im usually a big fan of MSI but this round of motherboards I've been disappointed to be honest, the quality of the boards seem really cheap and way overpriced compared to my z490 MSI board, for example I had the edge WiFi ddr4 and even tightening down the m.2 heatsink the standoff came right out the motherboard ( sadly only solder tacked into place) even after that I gave it a chance and experienced random crashes and problems with ram I only have medicore 3600 c18 xmp, anyway it had to go back and so I bought the tomahawk which is just a worse version of the edge WiFi ddr4 it doesn't even post with XMP unless I turn to volts to 1.4v, still has random crashes even at 2666mhz no oc, I have latest bios, clean install super disappointed overall in this platform it's a mess, stupid of me getting rid of my 10900k setup which was rock solid, so I've messed with the tomahawk and tried a few things to get it stable so far so good for only been few hours so far but if it crashes one more time I'm done wasting time and going for the strix z690-a d4 yeah it's overpriced but I just need a stable rig and not have mess around for hours, I noticed people got bios updates for it that makes it stable etc hence the reason for purpose, anyway let me know what you think overall about z690 platform, yes it's super fast and great and all but I personally think it's like a super fast car that gets great 0-60 or quarter mile runs but it's been built in a shed lol

My 4x8gb cl17 4000mhz. Work only at 3800mhz on Asus strix A wifi D4.....
Yes i know Asus...... i really liked that pcie release button.... the struggle was real with my bykski double sided waterblock
Every Asus mobo I have purchased in the past 5 years has not worked out of the box from cheap b350 to my rog zenith. They all needed bios update and for some reason can't OC the ram on rog zenith. No issues with MSI. Always works OOB. I am going to stop punishing myself with Asus/Corsair
I've had a good experience with my Z170 Pro Gaming and Z390 Hero. I usually just buy ASUS because I like the features and the BIOS is honestly really nice to work with.
Im usually a big fan of MSI but this round of motherboards I've been disappointed to be honest, the quality of the boards seem really cheap and way overpriced compared to my z490 MSI board, for example I had the edge WiFi ddr4 and even tightening down the m.2 heatsink the standoff came right out the motherboard ( sadly only solder tacked into place) even after that I gave it a chance and experienced random crashes and problems with ram I only have medicore 3600 c18 xmp, anyway it had to go back and so I bought the tomahawk which is just a worse version of the edge WiFi ddr4 it doesn't even post with XMP unless I turn to volts to 1.4v, still has random crashes even at 2666mhz no oc, I have latest bios, clean install super disappointed overall in this platform it's a mess, stupid of me getting rid of my 10900k setup which was rock solid, so I've messed with the tomahawk and tried a few things to get it stable so far so good for only been few hours so far but if it crashes one more time I'm done wasting time and going for the strix z690-a d4 yeah it's overpriced but I just need a stable rig and not have mess around for hours, I noticed people got bios updates for it that makes it stable etc hence the reason for purpose, anyway let me know what you think overall about z690 platform, yes it's super fast and great and all but I personally think it's like a super fast car that gets great 0-60 or quarter mile runs but it's been built in a shed lol
i own 2x edge ddr4 ver. i dont crashes because its win10 issue
I got the aorus z690 elite ax ddr4 thinking it would be a good board for the money, amd boy was i wrong. Can't even run ddr4 3600 manually. Getting the msi pro z690 a for now until ddr5 is readily available, then I'll get the carbon. The aorus had an excellent layout and i/o though for the money
are you not afraid about the avx problem with the msi pro one ? playing warzone and using 12900k i hesitate between this one and the z690 edge wifi to not have any bad surprise.
@@Prussiane what do you mean? I've had absolutely no issues with with Warzone. With 12700k and rtx 3090, i get near 300fps at 1440p
@@kendragon2827 well i'm talking about what framechasers said in this video at 1:50, he said that z690-a pro can get the avx bug, so i was asking if it was ok for you, it seems to be, but the question is, is it luck or did they patched this problem ?
Haven't had any issues. Really want the edge wifi for the rgb, wish the carbon came in ddr4 version
zhrooms would take you to school if he heard you talking about him like that!!!
That implies I care
I wouldn't touch MSI products 95% of them are made of cheap trash I would buy Gigabyte over MSI any day of the weak but that's just me
Proof?
Wow $500 bucks an hour to talk to you on discord ? I hope that doesn’t include websites lol
There is a wait list how busy I am
Absolute MSI shill. Shits on gaming x but praise 690 pro how much you getting paid??
40 thousand dollars for this one video
I cannot listen to this guy. He sounds like the drunk chick who is arguing with the drug addicted boyfriend at the shady club. Ffs. Your sentences aren't even coherent.
