I'd like to know why all these videos insist on having over powering "background" music!! So damned loud you have to struggle to hear the dialogue.

I drove across USA last year and made the effort to stop and visit Mooresville.
The nice lady working in the antique shop in town told me where John's house is and the shop he used to hang out at when he was young.
    Mooresville is great!

I'm doing a documentary on John Dillinger for National History Day, and I was curious how you were able to find these old videos. If you could reply that'd be great.
Or ( if you do know of any good ones) could you recommend any movie making software similar to i-Movie that's free.
    Thank you... :)

they were desperate men living in desperate times, they had the right weapons for the jobs too, hell and its was probably the federal reserves fault that the great depression happened in the first place, so the banks did it to themselves, you could say they shouldve expected men to revolt

I think I had a conversation with Dillinger tonight. He was speaking via a lamppost outside the jail in which he was held. He seems like quite the charmer. Very flirtatious. Sarcastic, with a good sense of humor.
I like him. I will go back and see if he'll speak with me again!

  • @able421

The other character I was referring to was something like what he played in American Psycho or The Machinist, an intense psychopathic sort. He does that very well. I'm not saying he's bad. He just doesn't have a lot of range.

Considering Dillinger was killed in 1934 and Purvis died in 1960 that's more then a few years later. He did however quit the FBI about a year after. And I am sure the cancer he was suffering from had more to do with his suicide.

Agreed, just saw it. I'm starting to really appreciate his range. Not a fan of the Burton stuff, but the fact that he can go from Fear to Pirates to Public Enemies. Few could do that. Bale was a bit disappointing. He's got about 2 good characters in him.

I saw public enemies last night. lots of guns but there was only about 3 people killed the whole movie. Overall pretty good, but don't watch it if you faint seeing blood. Just because Dillinger doesn't like killing doesn't mean he didn't beat the crap out of a lot of them. The way they killed him is horrible though.

Dillinger was a sophisticated man of the times whose music preferences mirrored the roaring twenties era of big band foxtrots and jazz etc. Delta blues is not really apropos, although I understand that it was referenced for it's effect.

You wouldn't say that if you were in his presence in his time era. Besides they were both pretty cool! Though it is my belief that Dillinger had more balls than Capone,Big Al ultimately out did JD when it comes to how successful they were financially and otherwise, as well as who is more recognizable nowadays! Not to mention that Capone died in his bed with his family around him and John Dillinger died in a urine soaked ally way! Nevertheless though JD was still an icon of his era as was Capone
