- Is there a 9th planet at the outermost edge of the solar system? New strong evidence seems to finally confirm theories about the existence of another large planet beyond Neptune's orbit. Not only would this planet be a scientific sensation, Planet 9 could also be linked to myths and prophecies of our ancestors who knew of its periodic appearance. Planet 9 probably orbits the sun in such an unusual orbit that it only enters the inner reaches of the solar system, and thus the range of our telescopes, every few thousand years. If we are to believe the Sumerian legends, then something monstrous could happen!
So if Pluto is no longer considered a planet than are dwarfs no longer considered as human?

Help me out here. They're saying it takes 10 000 - 20 000 years to orbit the sun, but comes close to the sun every 3600 years. How would that make sense?
It doesn't. That's why you take theories with a grain of salt until it's fully discovered.

I think the video mentioned at least two theories, one being a planet orbiting the Sun once every 10,000s of years, the other is the Sumerians' theory being that the hypothesized planet comes close once every 3600 years.
It makes absolutely no sense, just like the scientists who can see a dot thousands of light years away and claim its habitable. Everything surrounding space are theories that will never really be reachable, much less proven.

What if we are actually in a binary star system? The other large object is another star and doesn't orbit around our Sun but they orbit each other around a common center?

@@XRobinson come to think of it, I believe I read that Jupiter needed 6X more mass to have become a sun. That is - a lot (scientifically speaking). Maybe if 4.6B yrs ago, the sun hadn’t grabbed up over 99% of all the matter in the area Jupiter would’ve had a chance. But that’s now left to science fiction, ain’t it…
@@XRobinsonActually, the center of mass in a jupiter-sun combination is outside of sun's borders, so technically, sun does orbit jupiter.
