- Here I use a specific technique to create an extraordinary piece with the wood lathe.
The difficulty lies in inserting a thin layer of epoxy resin between each ring or segment layer to create an effect of depth.
The segments are glued together with epoxy resin.
The finish is provided by carnauba wax.

📦 Materials and Tools Needed:
High-quality wood (white ash)
Lathe and turning gouges (well sharpened 😉)
Epoxy resin and various colorants
Vacuum chamber
Sandpaper of different grits for a perfect finish
carnauba wax to protect and enhance the wood

j'utilise ici une technique spécifique pour créer une piece extraordinaire avec le tour a bois.
La difficulté reside dans le fait d'insérer une fine épaisseur de résine epoxy entre chaque anneaux ou étages de segments afin de réer un effet de profondeur.
L'ensemble des segments sont collés avec de la résine epoxy .
La finition est assurée par de la cire de carnauba.

Great result, I love the combination of wood and epoxy ( in the right measure ) and the different colours make it even better ( in my opinion ) . A great piece as centre piece on a table or even decoration on the wall. With a light behind ( underneath ) it will be brilliant!

Beautiful Piece. The translucent color epoxy is great. Not getting any voids with the black epoxy in between the layers showed some serious skill with epoxy.
