Your welcome , thanks for reply.Dave
Great Catch.
Thank you very much for watching.
Regards - Allan.
I must admit I prefer the 91s/mk4s but I suppose this is at least better than the pendolinos on the wcml. I do prefer the livery on the GWR sets though.
Thank you for watching. I am not too keen on the Pendolinos either. The GWR livery is quite pleasing to the eye.
Regards - Allan. :-)
That is quite an exotic look. Are they being tested prior to the launch of passenger service of the entire Class or jest a maintenance ride? Many thanks for sharing that interesting clip & regards from PL :)
Hi. Yes these trains are being tested ready for operation in 2018 on the route from London to Edinburgh and from London to the West Country. The made in Japan but assembled in the UK. Best wishes - Allan.
allan5919 Interesting info Allan, thank you! Best wishes to you, too
Great You got to see these in the Daytime Allan...Like Matt of 'Trains in the Southwest' said 'We only see them in the dark down here'.....lol... Looked very impressive indeed...but oh so quiet..Ha ha....Cheers....Steve.-:)
One thing that struck me was how very quiet these trains are Steve. They have just started testing in daylight in the North East.
Regards - Allan.
Good Video! Nice Train!
Thumbs up! :-)
Thank you for watching. Regards - Allan.
Nice one Allan i've not sean one yet!
Thank you very much for watching Barrie. Hope you get to see one soon.
Cheers - Allan. :-)
Hi Allan! Interesting diesel train! Is that train as in Germany the ICE?
Best regards! Cheers - Mike and Thumbs up :)
Hi Mike thanks for your comments. These new trains are both electric and diesel and are very similar to your ICE trains to look at. They will run from London to Edinburgh in 2018. Best wishes - Allan :-)
Ahh...ok, Allan! Thank´s for your information!
They are from Japan.
Классно!👍👍👍
Спасибо за просмотр. Allan.
I like the Javs but nothing beats an A350
I have read the apparent top speed of these trains are 140mph , that's the same as the current electric east coast fleet , those trains have never been able to travel at 140 due to the east coast line and neither will the new azuma . also I hope these trains will replace the dreadful 125 diesel trains I believe they are on journeys north of Edinburgh
these do look vey nice trains that will be coming into service on the east coast line and it is about time!! , great video too!!
Yes you are right about the speed restriction at 125 mph on the East Coast main line. The 125 HSTs have served the line well for over 40 years and have good customer satisfaction. They will be getting replaced eventually by the new Azuma trains.
Virgin are negotiating with network rail as to the possibility of running at higher speeds in certain areas. For me, nothing will replace the comfort and smooth ride of the HST!
Not sure about the shape of this new train Allan....maybe get used to it.....Trevor.''
Yes Trevor we will be sick of the sight of them in a few years time :-)
Cheers - Allan.
Impressive looking nose!
Thanks John. Some times a big nose can look attractive :-)
Cheers - Allan.
nice capture
they look very sleek
shame they could not have been designed and built here
much prefer a good old Steam engine
cheers
Thanks for watching Colin. Best wishes - Allan,
I honestly hate this conservative government. What is so good about privatisation, beside from downgrading the old trains and new trains by cramming in loads of iron board seats that feel like a hard rock? Why do new trains have to sound so quiet and bland? Why do we no longer build British trains or other British makes such as cars, motorbikes and airplanes? All this new plastic cattle truck rubbish should be sent to the scrapyard immediately! Bloody outrageous. Time we start building locomotive, loco hauled and multiple units that are British made for once.
Unfortunately passengers just seem to be a secondary factor these days where profit matters for more. Its a tragedy what has happened to our railways over the years under the Tories. Long distance travel by rail is no longer a joy on the UK network and it is so fragmented with so many companies, some good but some really poor. The UK public deserve better and much better trains too.
Thanks for watching the video. Allan. :-)
IS THERE A CAFE THING
Sad sight for me
Yes not everyone's cuppa this one.
Cheers - Allan.
Japanese trains.
Yes indeed they are. Thank you for watching.
Allan.
They’re just junk, absolute junk. For me we are going backwards. Sad, sad, sad. A nicely produced video, though.👍🏻
Thanks very much for watching. Not everyone's cup of tea these new trains.
Regards - Allan.
