Best piece of advice: As a leader - at any level of an organisation - be the last person to speak.
Typically when a leader makes their point of view known, the people around them naturally steer their thinking in the same direction.
If you're the last person to speak, and really 'listen' to what others in the room have to say first, a great leader can make a truly informed decision.

Honestly, I only started watching your videos to study for my exam but I've got caught up on them and find them really quite interesting. My prof hasn't made the subject particularly exciting, but I really love the real world examples you use in your videos and you've got me thinking a lot more about supply chain as a potential career. Maybe you can provide a quick insight for finding work in the field, I'm about to get a masters in international business development (Msc) and I already have my bachelors in business economics (BComm), how much potential do I have in getting hired in a supply chain & logistics position?

@@supplychainsecrets thanks. That is a great KPI. I will be looking into this for our company. It's actually saying that a KPI on it's own for a department might look great. But when we pull it altogether its actually not so great.

I'm sorry but that's almost an impossible question as it depends on so many factors. Where he intends to work (country), what type of business, his long term career goals, his interests, potential opportunities, what courses are available....... I have an interesting video coming up soon, with a friend who started out as a coal miner and ended up as the CEO of a multi billion $ retailer. And he shares some good advice.

an MBA is a Master of Business Administration. Logistics and Supply Chain or Procurement and Supply Chain is something else Sir. but f he was able to get a job as a senior executive with the MBA than that,s great. tell him that he needs to do nothing else. seek better opportunities within the industry, perhaps the planning side of the industry would be great.
