we noticed gas leaking when we turned the saw over and after inspection we saw the gas line pulled off the gas tank.

Mine is leaking out of the smaller nipple just to the right of where the hose you replaced goes into the tank. Is there supposed to be a tank vent fastened to that little nipple or what? I couldn't find it on the parts diagrams. Thanks.

The primer bulb should have two nipples. One for suction and one for return line back to the gas tank.

Thanks for the reply. Clarification ... I understand about the primer and it's two lines. I am speaking of a small nipple protruding out of the tank, the fuel tank, immediately to the right and next to the nipple on the fuel tank that the primer return line affixes to. I'm not sure what is supposed to go on to it but currently there is nothing on it and it leaks fuel out of it when the saw is on it's side and being refueled. Just a small little nipple protruding out of the tank about 3/8 of an inch and about 1/8 inch OD with a small little hole through it about the size of a pin. It seems like it is an officially cast part of the tank... maybe for a vent hose. Does yours have something there? You would have seen it as you attached the lower part of your primer return line to the tank. Thanks again. @@BrileyWray

That saw was my father n laws. Next time I'm over there I'll look. I'm thinking if the saw runs well I'd fi d a way to plug that hole and see if it leaks gas from another place to find where that was supose to connect otherwise leave it plugged.

Good thought. I'll try that. But if you do happen to figure out what that is...please let me know. Thanks for your time.@@BrileyWray

Pretty sure that’s where the fuel line should go ( the other end attaching to the primer bulb). The larger one on the left is the tank vent and should have nothing attached to it
