if someone asked me a question about Word before I watched your videos, I would say I know everything. But I've realized now I don't know everything very well. Many thanks for sharing, spectacular
As usual. You are incredible. All ur videos are structured in an easy way. I always wait for u to upload new thing. Since everytime, i learn something new
Thank you so much! I've got a template I use daily and wanted to add dropdowns to it. Your video was perfect and I was finally successful! I even added three date selection fields!! Thank you again.
Fantastic tutorial, has helped me loads in creating a report document that requires a lot of data input from different sites, coupled with what I have learned with macros this has halved my time at the desk. Thank you so much, big thumbs up.
Thank you very much for the video. I am already exploring the Developer menu. It would be really useful if you can explain how can we limit the word number in a word-fillable-form. The manu is realy complex and I am getting lost in it.
Awesome video. I do Building INspections and my problem is that I am unable to use the values from the same drop-down multiple times within the same cell of the table in MS Word. Can you kindly suggest any solution to this. If you have any video on this, kindly refer me to that please. I give you an example of my problem. I go to inspect a house and I find a defeat. So to define that defect in few different ways, I have values in my drop down. With normal drop down list, you can only use one value at a time from the same drop down menu. However, If I am able to use that same drop down menu to populate the same cell, with multiple value from the drop down menu, that will will make my life easy and less prone to other legal issues I may face.
Hello Jamie, Great tutorial and very easy to follow along. I do have a quick question. Is there a way to personalize the text "Click or tap her to enter text". I am creating a form and want to personize this, ie: "click or tap here to enter phone number", "click or tap here to enter address". I want to give specific instructions as to what I want them to enter. Thanks
Wonderful tutorial. How do we make this same form fillable for those not using Word? Converting to PDF the drop downs are not working. Is there another way? Please advise.
Once a Word form has been created, how is the Word file saved, i.e. with what extension, so that individuals can use their browser to complete the form. Does it have to be saved as a .pdf first? Do you have a video on that? Would appreciate a reply ASAP.
@teacher's tech I am trying to create a table where 1 cell is a dropdown list, upon selecting from the list I would like to populate the date and time in other cells. Any chance you could explain the formula flow to do this? I haven't found anything else yet that shows how to do this in a Word doc.
How can you allow for multiple items to be selected from a dropdown list and then shown as list with commas? For example "red, blue, yellow. orange" but not the other colors that weren't selected.
I would recommend you begin by simply showing viewers how to make a basic fillable form without interjecting option after option. Once we could make a basic form the options would be easier to understand. You also assume we would know too much. Producing this essentially in Excel adds another layer of complexity. You merged cells without explanation etc and were immediately off to another function. I still don't know how to produce a basic fillable form. Cheers, JS
What do I send/save the file as? I have tried several times using the "pdf" file option and I am still unable to select anything from the drop down list or fill in any information . What did I do wrong? Can someone help?
