I also like maintaining the traditional gable roof form but doing it in a fresh way. This helps to integrate the house into the neighboring houses. Avoiding the Modern Box is a commendable achievement!
This is quite interesting. I like the open framing and how much that enriches the solid volumes, adding visual complexity and contrast . Nice solution.
Does New Zealand recognise architectural education from the UK (RIBA - accredited)? Often considered emigrating and taking on the challenge in another country. The projects come across a little more progressive than they are here in the UK, but that could just be from the select projects we see in media.
Great video, lovely house but the music is unnecessary. It’s a distraction to the point that occasionally it’s difficult to hear the commentary, plus the new age/yoga genre is awful (IMHO)
At least give the builders a wrap. Anyone with half a brain can create a house on a digital platform, only a selected handful can build the design. Without the builders the house is still just a file on the computer.
