This is a divine hymn seeking Lord Shiva’s protection. It is meant for everyone who were in need.
However, it is especially soothing if you were suffering from illness both physical and mental, negative feelings and fear of enemies.
चरितम् देवदेवस्य महादेवस्य पावनम् ।
अपारम् परमोदारम् चतुर्वर्गस्य साधनम् ।।
गौरी विनायाकोपेतम् पंचवक्त्रं त्रिनेत्रकम् ।
शिवम् ध्यात्वा दशभुजम् शिवरक्षां पठेन्नरः।।
गंगाधरः शिरः पातु भालमर्धेन्दु शेखरः।
नयने मदनध्वंसी कर्णौ सर्पविभूषणः ।।
घ्राणं पातु पुरारातिर्मुखं पातु जगत्पतिः ।
जिह्वां वागीश्वरः पातु कन्धरां शितिकन्धरः ।।
श्रीकण्ठः पातु मे कण्ठं स्कन्धौ विश्वधुरन्धरः ।
भुजौ भूभार संहर्ता करौ पातु पिनाकधृक् ।।
हृदयं शङ्करः पातु जठरं गिरिजापतिः।
नाभिं मृत्युञ्जयः पातु कटी व्याघ्रजिनाम्बरः ।।
सक्थिनी पातु दीनार्तशरणागत वत्सलः।
उरु महेश्वरः पातु जानुनी जगदीश्वरः ।।
जङ्घे पातु जगत्कर्ता गुल्फौ पातु गणाधिपः ।
चरणौ करुणासिन्धुः सर्वाङ्गानि सदाशिवः ।।
एताम् शिवबलोपेताम् रक्षां यः सुकृती पठेत्।
स भुक्त्वा सकलान् कामान् शिवसायुज्यमाप्नुयात्।।
गृहभूत पिशाचाश्चाद्यास्त्रैलोक्ये विचरन्ति ये।
दूराद् आशु पलायन्ते शिवनामाभिरक्षणात्।।
अभयम् कर नामेदं कवचं पार्वतीपतेः ।
भक्त्या बिभर्ति यः कण्ठे तस्य वश्यं जगत्त्रयम् ।।
इमां नारायणः स्वप्ने शिवरक्षां यथाऽदिशत् ।
प्रातरुत्थाय योगीन्द्रो याज्ञवल्क्यस्तथाऽलिखत् ।।
ENGLISH :
Charitham deva devasya, maha devasya pavanam |
Aparam paramodharam, chathur vargasya sadhanam ||
Gowri vinayakopetham, pancha vakthram trinethrakam |
Shivam dyathwa dasa bhujam Shiva Rakshaam paden nara ||
Gangadhara sira pathu, Phalam ardendu shekara |
Nayane madana dwamsi, karnou sarpa vibhooshana ||
Granam pathu purar aathi, mukham pathu jagath pathi |
Jihwam vaggeswara pathu, kandharam shiva kandhara ||
Sri Kanta pathu may kandam, skandhou viswa durandhara |
Bhujow bhoo bhara samhartha, karou pathu pinaka dhruk ||
Hrudayam Shankara Pathu, jataram girija pathi |
Nabhim mruthyunjaya pathu, katim vyagra jinambara ||
Sakthinee pathu deenartha, saranagatha vathsala |
Ooru maheswara pathu, janunee jagad easwara ||
Jange pathu jagath kartha, gulphou pathu ganathipa |
Charanou Karuna Sindhu, sarvangani sada shiva ||
Yetham shiva balo petham, raksam ya sukruthee padeth |
Sa bhukthwa sakalan kaamaan, shiva sayujyamapnuyath ||
Graha bhootha pisachadhya, trilokyepi charanthi ye |
Dhoorad aasu palayanthe Shiva namabhi rakshanath ||
Abhayam kara namedham kavacham Parvathi pathe |
Bhakthya bibarthee ya kande, thasya vasyam jagat thrayam ||
Imam Narayana swapne Shiva Raksham yadha disath |
Prathar uthaya yogeendro, Yagna valya sthadha likath ||
BENIFITS :
It is a Hymn which has the power to protect the person from diseases (physical and mental), Evil spirits, poverty and all other Negative Feelings. Besides protecting, Shiv Raksha Stotra fulfills the desires and removes all the negativity and fears from the life of the person who chants or recites it with full faith, devotion and concentration.
By regular reciting the Stotra, the seeker lives in longevity, happy, childlike, victorious and well-deserved.
A few mantras, Stotra and Kavach, have been composed to please Lord Shiva and the person’s desires are fulfilled by the grace of Shiva. Shiv Raksha Stotra is one of them. The devotee, who recites this Shiv Raksha Stotra, gets salvation and Lord Shiva protects him from ghosts and goals who wander in all the three worlds.
One can chant Shiva Raksha Stotram at any time. It can be chanted as a song when you are ideal or you can even chant it when you are meditating.
