Thank you. Setting Airplane mode for a few seconds and back off again nudged the WhatsApp restore out of permanently "preparing" mode to actually doing it! I would not have thought of doing this. 👍🏻😉

I tried all the steps but media restore isn't complete. My data is about 4.7 GB but it's only reach 245 mb and then it stuck. Please help

Hi Brainers Tech, glad i found out your videos, if you don't mind i need your insights on my case. I just bought new phone and try to restore the backup data. Mine never showed it fully 100% finished, yet the progress bar suddenly dismissed after 99%. The problem after it finished restore is I can't send any message to my contacts. And suddenly the WhatsApp will force close, and when I try to open still I can't send messages. I try to reinstal, clear cache, clear data yet the issue didn't solve for me. Thanks in advance guys.

I wasn't able to find the Storage Permission but I was able to do this with disconnecting the Google Drive and when it couldn't find the restore, i was able to 'SKIP'' the restore process. I then went and began new Backup process to Google Drive. Thank you for this video and your help.

Fixed. In the phone setting > find WhatsApp > press Force Stop > close WhatsApp > and open it again. All done.

I backed up before uninstalling but when I installed again then data not comebacks and many times I did but couldn't back up the chats, and now I use WhatsApp without old chats but I need to back all my chats, will you help me how to backup all my chats???
Dude - pls watch the video it shows where to set those settings as well as manually backup chats and media.
Like many people the last step is the one that worked for me. Hopefully there's no further problems. In the last few months the app has become worse and worse.

My whatsapp data was 5 gb . unfortunately i clicked on skip in restore data process and reinstalled WhatsApp now I am getting backup of recently sended messages .not previous one .

I switched from WhatsApp to WhatsApp Business about 10 days ago. I backed up WhatsApp before and WhatsApp Business restored it but it looks like it restored only part of the media files. In some chats I can see older media files and not newer. I cannot uninstall and redo it again because then I will lose the new chats of the last 10 days. Any solution? Thanks

pls try all the solutions, in last 2 solutions should mostly work unlink from drive and uninstall and reinstall WhatsApp.
Same problem my WhatsApp restore stuck at 9% i uninstall several time but same happened at 9%
