It's actually possible to get mechanical critters into the final northern undead base to serve as a permanent source of highground vision over on Illidan's side. Buy a few from Kael's shop in the previous mission, gather a crapton of troops and wisps around Malfurion in the Northeasternmost region leaving no gaps, then they can spawn across the river.
On the final north base: Very clever to use lowground units to distract the Undead, I was always thinking about destroying inaccessible bases from a DPS standpoint, not an AI exploitation standpoint. Is why I missed these solutions. Although I legit didn't know about the tree of life teleportation exploit. Looks like Malfurion was about out of trees to summon treants, good thing the base was finished off by then. Must have taken some practice to get that to work out. I forget whether healing wards are purchasable on that map, might be the only way to get sufficient highground vision to indefinitely continue the assault from Illidans side if the trees run out. The owl sentinels don't see Illidan's side really.
I always forget about it and the Claws are really good, too. I like to item juggle what would Illidan's best 6 items be and I end up with something like Mask, Shadow Orb, Crown, Claws + 15, Pendant of Mana, and one of Helm of Valor and Ring + 5. The Helm is arguably better but you can find one on the last Blood Elf mission so I guess it makes sense to carry the Ring to give to Akama. Others might choose something like Amulet of Spell Shield or Runed Bracers over the Pendant, I dunno. Edit: I forgot about the Frost Wyrm Skull Shield which is basically better Runed Bracers. It's not bad although I'd still keep the Pendant even if Illidan doesn't use his spells that often.
I actually didn't know it was possible to attack the unreachable base until I read that you could destroy some trees with Turtles and send in the Infernal. I attempted to do it but obviously failed miserably, after watching this I'm not even gonna bother lol. Pretty cool still, wish it were truly accessible because this is my favorite NE mission and it sucks that I cannot clean it.

sadly she doesn't, she just keeps magically heal her hp every time she's about to die and you are bound to hear her complaints until you destroy the undead base attacking her
This was hard level? I can't destroy orange base with tons of mountain giants... lol, I managed to destroy orange undead base when my all gold mines colapses. Bears + catapults... Upgrade them to the max.

Very creative, especially boxing in the DK. Some Snap Dragons would've made the last leg easier.

Yes also he keeps mask of death claws +15 and furion can give him claws +12 from the caravan mission
