The octopus is awesome!! I think the effect of the glitter showing from behind the sand is gorgeous. If you wanted more glitter though, you could always do a thin top coat and either sprinkle it on, or have it mixed in.

Hey ladies maybe just set the seashells in uv resin in the mold first and then pour resin with glitter so the shells stand out and not get buried. You two are @o fun together😊

I think he came out great. I like how dimensional he is with the glitter behind the sand. It's like he's in mid transition for camouflage.
And boy, did I feel it when yall mentioned walking on that sand. We have sugar sand at all our beaches. I had never experienced shell sand until I went to CA and made the mistake of trying to walk on that stuff. They ground theirs up more, though. You could barely tell it was shell. I would love to have some of that sand to do some projects with. I think it's way more interesting than craft and sugar sand.

I think I might make one where I pour the first half of the octopus with the glitter and then add the resin with the sand. Maybe that would have given her closer to what she wanted.

I’ll never know but she found a mini brain and you’re talking about saying in your head she put the brain in her octopuses head and I died when she unmold had this big old brain sitting up in this head. But I love the I think he would also look cute with some. What is that shell? Oh my goodness abalone shell that would be really pretty too, but you get an A+++ And next time you come bring Mr. jalapeño jalapeño and his wife, have a good day, ladies😊

Easier yes but we didn’t want to waste resin or sand not knowing how much to use for just that part.

I’m just curious. Is it suppose to be easier to mix the add inns into the resin first and then put it in the mold already mixed? I’ve always been told when you mix in the mold you chance scraping the mold… idk maybe I heard wrong..either way he is cute!!! Love the sea life…❤
Yes usually into the resin first, however in this case we didn’t want too much of either so we filled it first. I do it both ways, trying not to waste resin. It didn’t scratch the mold
To jump into the conversation, octopuses, though is sounds wrong, is apparently the correct term, unless you're discussing octopodes, the entire section of strange sea creatures, lol.
