HOW TO LIZARD CRAWL / WALK 🦎 | animal movement flow

  • Movement pattern for awareness and pushing strength
This animal movement requires plenty of shoulder strength and chest engagement as you slither your way across the floor 💪 Great as a hip opener and mobilisation tool too
As you build strength work your way closer to the floor ⬇️ No rush ⛔ Concentrate on good form and increase time under tension
Limited space? Practise keeping one side of your body tucked (elbow and knee touching) while extending the opposite arm and leg. Then change sides. Archer pushups extending one arm in front of the body (rather than side) will help with prerequisite strength
Have fun with this cool looking movement

I like what I call the eagle 🦅 It’s mostly using imagination combined with full stretch of the arms and exhaling every last bit of air out and soar as u inhale and glide as you exhale and slow flow movements - really opens up the energy/chi circuits.

hey @@cursorhead think of it as a pushup progression. It forces the chest, tricep and delts to work hard. It also requires us to incorporate rotation and movement in the frontal plane.
One big bonus with animal or ground based movements is it forces us to think more about movement, incorporating our full body. So we get a good workout for the mind and body.
