  • @txchainsaw8907
    @txchainsaw8907 Год назад +75

I came to ESO from Warframe where we had pretty much unlimited inventory capacity. Cause of that experience, I never bought ESO+ cause I felt like I'd be getting robbed. I spent way more money on Warframe cause it felt good to support a company that wasn't trying to get their hand in my wallet all the time. I have just learned to live with ESO, the inventory management simulator.
I feel bad for the ESO+'ers. Yall should get unlimited inventory for the money you spend.

    • @WDMurphy
      @WDMurphy Год назад +6

True the bag is the only real benefit, but you need to take into account that you also get "1650 crowns per month"
That and reduced crown purchases, means you're really just dedicating buying 1500 crowns a month to unlock all the DLCs. BUT bag space and inventory management I have seen drive away many friends with its frustrations, even friends that would pay to unlock the crafting bag,
Many free-to-play players are willing to even spend more than 15$ a month (but more like every few months) they just want to do it on their own terms and not be locked into a subscription.

    • @txchainsaw8907
      @txchainsaw8907 Год назад +8

@William Murphy If you are a new player I suppose you can use the crowns you get from ESO+ to buy the DLC you don't yet have because having ESO+ just means you are renting DLC access. Once your subscription ends, you lose access unless you bought the DLC. What's worse is the membership doesn't include new chapters. You still have to buy those on top of what you're already paying. Also crown prices and what you can buy with them is a lil crazy. 80 bucks or more for a house that has limited capacity. Umm...no thanks. Finally, all the bugs n such would infuriate me that much more if I was paying monthly. It's pretty much a scam in my eyes but that's up to each individual to decide what value means to them.

These are *100%* helpful. One thing I would also recommend is creating a "mule" guild (you do need to get like ≈10 players/friends to join) but once accomplished you will have a guild bank that will greatly help with storage.

There are also free-to-play weeks where you can just make up 10 dummy email accounts then set up 10 dummy accounts yourself and make your own guilds. I went a step further and bought 10 super cheap base game keys and set up 10 alt accounts and made 5 guilds for the bank space. So I get 2500 unbound storage with the guild banks and the storage for all the toons and account bank spots as well.

I've been playing ESO without ESO+ since around Thieves Guild's release, and the key thing to have is just an inventory plan.
My plan follows what was mentioned in the video, and I'll say that nowadays I've picked up the assistants (Merchant, Banker, Deconstruction) and they're gamechangers!
If y'all want to do this long-term and don't mind spending some crowns, I highly recommend picking them up!
Also try to deconstruct or sell your items ASAP because you never know when a really nice drop will happen and you find your inventory full so you have to waste time deleting an item that you could've just not picked up in the first place (I'm looking at you, "Foul Hide".)
Overall it's very manageable but you have to play smart 🦊

I've been playing for years, only had eso plus a few months max and it's no problem at all. Make a guild, invite random people from a beginner zone and majority of them quit.... Alls you need is 10 players in your guild ( preferably that have quit ) and you unlock 500 slots! Max your bank and inventory slots asap. Research and deconstruct all items you don't need to avoid hoarding, sell everything you don't physically need (for materials i do this once i get a full stack) i have a tonne of money now and great equipment just by simply playing the game. I spend real money on DLC rather than eso plus so i can go wherever and do whatever the same as everyone else, waiting for a good deal like half price for things comes more often than you may think. I used to store spare equipment on alt accounts, but now you can rebuild equipment items you've bound to your account i just deconstructed it all and will build what i want when i want it.

I would say that one more tip is to get into a trading guild. You can sell off excess stacks of materials for good amounts of gold and save up towards buying crowns through a reputable guild or server like World Crown Exchange (There is always a risk of being scammed in this, of course, but I've found it worthwhile to buy up DLCs with gold, etc.). This allows you to get access to some more valuable farming areas for motifs and additional game features.

I just use bankspace for materials, 1-2 characters for storing most useful set items of gold quality, chests for some furniture and fragments. All other sets i just deconstruct for materials, because you can always reconstruct what you need using transmute station. So, i just collect materials in the bank for 6 months, refill craftbag every eso plus trial, and feel ok with how it works. The only pain is the limit on transmute crystals, 500 isn’t much really. Oh, and furniture limits are also harsh. That’s all😅

Always love your videos, very informative!
I run 2 accounts, 1 with plus, the other without. ATM neither have plus ( waiting to get my yearly with a work bonus).
Anyway a couple things you didnt mention ( though skirted them.. I watched twice because of spousal aggro)
    * you can increase bank slots ( at the bank, not assistant bankers)
    * you can increase each character slots TWO ways , the one you mentioned, by riding capacity, the other is with the Pack Merchant. ( this one I'd recommend doing each character in a rotation. Character 1, then 2, then 3, etc then back to character 1.. because the price gets exponentially higher.) 10 slots each purchase.
    * you can buy storage trunks 3 ways: crown store, Rollis, and with Telvar in Imperial City. ( I know what some are thinking.. I dont PvP.. I RP on my main but EU, i play on NA mostly. Point? Just with log in rewards and only going to IC during PvP events, my EU side has 1.5mil Telvar.. mostly from log in rewards.)
    * when a house is available through Event tickets or promotions
( like the Antiquities was) get them!! Even if you dont house, you'll end up with stuff you need to put somewhere.
Sorry that's a long read... would take less time to say.

Try Personnal Assistant add-on with Smarter Auto-loot so it will pick only what you need, and put as junk what you don't (after deconstruct for example) and sell them auto as soon as your speak to a merchant, it can also store item you want to keep direclty on the bank just by speaking to it, very helpful.
The thing is, you don't need that much thing for craft unless you want to deep dive on craft (then rip).

The worst thing a game can do is create a problem and then sell you the solution. Swaping character loading screens, traveling to bank locations with them back and fort to the bag upgrades and stablemasters spending gold to increase bag space and training riding skill to increase inventory slots slowly over time throughout the months is not a fun "free to play" gameplay option for a game you already had to buy so it is not free to begin with. These workarounds are nice to know, but that's what they are, designed specifically to waste player's time so they get ESO+.
As a non ESO+ player I am happy to own portable kitty cats merchant and banker, and every chapter and DLC, and while it reduced the pressure and made game more enjoyable, I can still feel the pressure of the craftbag. And on top of that DLCs are per server so they want me to pay again for them if I want to play their content with NA friends. I like ESO, I'd like to pay for real stuff, and I would like it more if it could get rid of this awful predatory business model.
And now I also like this channel for looking out for us non ESO+ population. Thank you for this video, and thank you for that "Taunt Everything" video with two handed templar, I tried it and it's so much fun! Looking forward to what else can I learn from you. Sub from me. 💙

DLC access that is no longer useful once you’ve already purchased everything? double bank space? Little to nothing Gold and exp bonus? Players should be getting way more than what is being offered. You could have just played subscription based mmos like wow and ffxiv.

Best to get bank henchi, or special collectible, keep crafting loot there.
Don't pick up all food, but flour and inssa glass should be kept.
Best to loot urns rather than barrels, since urns sometimes have motiff's but barrels usually have rice or seaweed with my luck.
Watch out for white crafting items that are unusual or rare, you may want to save or at least stack in a storage tote.
You can get storage containers for home from tel var stones or writs, writs seem faster way, but not cheap.
In a Dungeon DO NOT auto loot everything, be selective and NOTICE: each dungeon may have a grey item trash around 9gold, but they stack so you may want to keep it till the end of the dungeon, and sell to merchant companion if you have to collect anything at the end.
People leave shortly after dungeon, but you can ask someone to stay or pull out merchant henchi and let people know, so they can sell a bit also.

Watch MalcolM's video titled "The Elder Scrolls Online - Bundles & Purchase Options" for a guide and explanation on how it works.
ESO is split into 3 categories
      1) Base Game
      2) Chapter
      3) DLC
The base game of ESO (which comes with any version of the game) lets you have access to all of the original zones released in 2014 + Craglorn + Imperial City DLC + the first chapter (Morrowind)
If you buy the latest (chapter deluxe edition?) of the game then it lets you access the base game and gives you access to all currently made chapters
(as of february 2023 that includes Morrowind, Summerset, Elsweyr, Greymoor, Blackwood, High Isle)
While you have ESO+ it gives you access to every DLC and every chapter apart from the latest chapter (latest chapter currently is High Isle)
(as of february 2023 DLC includes Imperial City, Orsinium, Thieves Guild, Dark Brotherhood, Shadow of the Hist, Horns of the Reach, Clockwork City, Dragon Bones, Wolfhunter, Murkmire, Wrathstone, Scalebreaker, Dragonhold, Harrowstorm, Stonethorn, Markarth, Flames of Ambition, Waking Flame, Deadlands, Ascending Tide, Lost Depths, Firesong)
EDIT: You can also purchase individual DLC as an alternative to paying for ESO+. This is what I personally did and I'm happy with this route.

It's extremely hard without plus. Can't make money. Can't make money your gear is shit, can't store potions. You can play it but it starts to suck really quick. I played for 6 years and had 9 characters. They were full. Horses were full, chests were full and still needed space for every set I needed. Plus is a must if you play regularly.

The fact that a guide like this even needs to exist should say how truly optional ESO+ actually is
Zen, you have GOT to stop trying to get the best of both mobile AND actual MMOs from this game
That is what is going to be the real death of this game

to be honest don't download the game even if it is free if you don't have the DLCs basically you will not play the game you will not have anything to do in the game you cannot follow any guides you cannot follow anything to do and no one can tell me else the video is helpful yes but for me it is just naive for people to play the game and the game tell you if you wanted to play it you need to pay money 100% you will need to pay to get the DLCs and no one can tell you else
thank you for the video it is actually good video
