Hearing Cilla tell Abbie that she'll be always be there to hold her hand and you'll never be too old to do that made me cry. I just lost my mom to covid and I held her hand everyday till the end
Being able to watch this gives me some normalcy! We were hit by hurricane ida (in terrebonne parish) we haven't had power since August 29th and they expect it to be fully restored by September 29th! Just got running water back today. With cell service being in and out being able to watch a RUclips video feels amazing!
I've so enjoyed watching Abbie mature and grow into such an amazing young lady! Her communication skills have evolved so much and her patience as well, self calming tools and you guys as well. Everything you guys have done is just so wonderful in inspiring the community both autistic and others.
I so proud that Abbie waited an hour for her appointment. Well done Abbie she come a long way with her communication. I only know through watching your videos how her ABA has help but I can see though your videos that Abbie having you guys as her family keeping up with her ABA skill at home has helped. You know you guys help me with my work thank you 🥰
I live in a rural area and an hour wait is pretty standard here 🤷🏻♀️ for one of my doctors, it’s usually 2 hours past appointment time before actually seeing her lol
Tips for scheduling appointments, is ask for the first appointment after lunch. Doctors tend to get slowed down as the day goes on. They are overscheduled, and if there are any problems that come up the appointments take longer.
Was awesome to see how great Abbie did with her mask! I'm sorry they made you wait so long. I work in a specialist clinic in a hospital and I know our wait times can be really long but if I know someone is struggling I always talk to the doctor and have them get seen asap. Hopefully things will go more smoothly next time!
She was amazing!! Just proof that with practice comes progress and ABA involved a lot of practice but seeing the progress always makes the difficult times and repetition worth it!! One thing I started to do when practicing crossing the road is ask my students “Do you see any moving cars?” Because there are always cars around either parked or at a red light so asking “Do you see any card?” The answer is yes most of the time but you can cross as long as the cars are not moving. Way to go Abbie!! Edit: we call our cats quality control. I was thinking this just before you said Nala was supervising lol
Asa you remind me so much of my dad who is 84 and he still fixes everything his cell. If he doesn’t know how he’ll go to the library and look it up that’s what he’s always told me. Lol I think it’s awesome when you can do things like that
Yeah the door works. My daughter is the same with waiting and gets either excited or impatient. Maybe ask office manager what may be a better time slot without the wait
Abb is so hillarious 😅😅 the face she was pulling when she was meant to be getting out of the car hahaha she knew she was being funny lol what a joker xo
You are doing so awesome Ab!!! I absolutely love it girl!!! I don’t even do well waiting an hour and I’m 39!! Awww!! I’m glad she got to hang out with Becca!! That’s so awesome!!! Nice door Asa!!!❤️❤️❤️ Have a great night everyone!!!💜💜💜
Abbie is awesome! I would be anxious and angry if I had to wait an hour in the waiting room too. Maybe you can call ahead of the appointment and ask if doctor is on time or running behind. I had to do that for a doctor who had no respect for us patients who were in the waiting room. The Maas Squad is so awesome! 💕🌞
i was trying to teach a kid to cross streets. He would not look no matter what I tried. One day he was being a little aggressive so I was walking a step behind him out of his reach. As we approached the corner I moved up to stop him and check for traffic, but as I reached him-he stopped-looked right, looked left and waited for traffic......i asked him if he knew how to cross streets all along and he admitted he knew and just didn't want to bother when he didn't have to---he'd rather let the adult do it..and snickered...
I absolutely love your videos and since I have came arcossed them I have been watching them religiously. You give me hope for my son who is 3. He was recently diagnosed with autism on August 9th 2021. We have had him in Speech and OT for atleast a year and a half. We are on the waiting list to get him into a center that specializes in autism. Do you have any advice on things we can do at home to help him while we are waiting?
I have worked in a medical hospital, clinic, ER, Express Clinic, & COVID clinic over the past 20 years, and I can assure you that you were not waiting for an hour because there was nothing better for the provider or staff to do. What people don't seem to understand is that there are other people - patients that may need additional care, or have serious concerns that cannot be addressed in the appt time they have scheduled. There are people who need a little more time than others with whatever they are being seen for - and probably more. In the clinic that I work in, we have providers that fall behind because of issues with patients, or because they were called into emergency surgery...whatever the reason, I can assure you it isn't to just keep you waiting. We keep our patients informed if providers are running late...let them know the approximate wait time - ask if they would like to continue waiting or re-schedule their appointment, or perhaps see if there is another provider available to that patient. I can guarantee that if the tables were turned, and you or your family member needed extra time with the provider, you wouldn't have an issue with those patients after you waiting the extra time to be seen for their appointment.
I held my mom's hand until the day she died whenever I saw her. Also snuggled with her everytime I stayed at her house. Never too old to love on your momma :)
So right before you cut from the car to becka proves Abbie knows full well everything that's going on and does things on purpose to make u laugh. She knew you guys were saying those faces she was making were funny and silly and she kept doing it again and laughed about it. That's abbies personality showing throu. Her goofy fun loving self. When people say kids with autism cant socialize with people and doesnt understand peoples faces or what's going on oh no Abbie knew exactly what she was doing and purposely wanted to make you guys laugh. How beautiful is that?!
is it not the norm down there to wait for a doctor for an hour? that's a basic time here. and heaven forbid you have a hospital emergency. that's 12 to 18 hours here.
Well done Abbie you did so well at the doctors with Mom.....loved her giddy 5 mins in the car when you got back home..... Awesome job on the door Asa especially while your still recovering from your wisdom tooth extraction...👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻lot of brownie points with Cilla....👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
I don’t even know what a hinge bracket is let alone be able to do it. That being said I am one person who won hundred percent should not be making hinge pockets anyway The doctor is hard even if you don’t have autism
I feel like you're are very lucky to see you Doctors in person. I haven't seen my Doctors in 2 years. If want to phone call appointments. can get to talk to him but it very busy. Have call Before 10am which doesn't suit some people. Tbh feel like some suft can't talk about on the phone. Need talk face to face. Cant even get my teeth looked at unless it is toothache. even at that. It antibiotics and sent off on my way. if dont work. Then bring me in on my own. So it ever frustrating
Tip, take the door back off to paint. Take it outside. Put floor protection down. Then you can paint the frame with much more ease. And get a nice finish on both. When properly dried re hang the door. Went too look at a brand new house today, well two. O man they were stunning. And in the countryside surrounded by wheat fields. See the difference using an electric plane makes. Handy tool too have in your arsenal..👍♥️👍
We hate waiting at the doctor as well but, unfortunately, that is just part of it. What we do if my daughter has a rough time is, go up and ask the ppl at the front desk to allow us to go sit in the car and when it's our turn, they come out and get us. (Or they call my cellphone to tell us to come on in.) Maybe that would help you. We had an incident just recently where we actually had to wait for over 2 1/2 hours but, luckily we had plenty of things that my daughter likes to do in the car to help the waiting time go by smoothly.
Priscilla my husband is in construction and fixing everything from our cars to the house. He even built our son a spuderman bed when he was little. Im always imlressed on everything he can do sometimes by just watching one youtube video etc. So i get it that stuff impresses me all the time 2.
What happened to the sign that was on seatbelt that said sh is autistic and doesn’t speak? In case of an accident. ? Abby you are a sweet girl and growing every day.
they probably try mornings but a lot of doctors could take more urgent matters in the morning. I prefer morning appointments becasue just to get it over with so I am not waiting around all day for the appuontment to roll around.

I goin all “awwww” when cilla was all thankful for the door and the busted out laughing when she picked up Nala and she was batting her paws 🤣🤣
I love the way Abbie was acting silly, but loving her mom.💌

@@Riddickisawesome101 ok
I don’t blame Abbie for being impatient at the doctors. I would be too if I had to wait an hour!
Abbie did a wonderful job keeping her mask on, and I’m so proud of her that she waited an hour in the waiting room. ❤️
I personally would not have been able to wait for an hour. Way to go!! She’s absolutely adorable.
I wonder if it happens way more in larger cities. 😁
She sure is.
I live in a rural area and an hour wait is pretty standard here 🤷🏻♀️ for one of my doctors, it’s usually 2 hours past appointment time before actually seeing her lol
Well done Abbie! 👍🏻 Having to wait for an hour is crazy!
Watching Abbie makes me so happy.
How cool was that, a 6:08min segment of a 13:12min video just mum and Abbie, that was beautiful to watch, thanks for sharing🙋
It was sooooo cute 🥰🦋🦋
Priscilla your an amazing mom with Abbie you have a fantastic relationship which is so sweet ❤❤
Try making your Doctor appointment in the morning about 8:30 a.m or 9 a.m. because later in the day they tend to get backed up.
Yes or be the very first appointment after their lunch!
Tips for scheduling appointments, is ask for the first appointment after lunch. Doctors tend to get slowed down as the day goes on. They are overscheduled, and if there are any problems that come up the appointments take longer.
Yup, it’s really the only way to not wait 1-2 hours here..
Mother and Daughter precious togetherness
Awesome job Asa. Abbie was awesome. Have a safe Labor Day weekend
I am always looking forward to watch your new video. Have a great day Mr. Asa And Family ❤️

I love how well Ab did at the doctors and the faces she made when she got home. She's so grown up!
Sandy, are you so excited? Sandy: no,I don"t use that rest room!"
Ms. Abbie my mom is 84 and I’m 62, I still hold my mom’s hand like your mom said we’re never to old to hold are momma’s hand.

I feel like their called 🤣 and the door debacle!!!! Yallllll 😂🤣🤣🤣🤣
Boy, You were getting the stink eye while getting her mask ready. I started laughing out loud
Me too!! Ahaha I couldn’t help it

Why did it have to be a joke?maybe she was really annoyed with her mom,,u dumb people are keeping the helpless crippled
I suggest calling the doctors before hand to see if they are running on schedule!
My bathroom door doesn't shut all the way in the summer because the humidity makes it swell. We're too lazy to fix it. Doesnt bother us.
Book first appointment of the day!
I love the momma talk it is a universal language
An hour wait time?! Yikes! I would've been livid and would have walked out after twenty minutes!
Abbie's growing up and with growth comes changes😊❤

She is doing a great job! I think the providers over book so maybe try the first visit in the morning or last in the afternoon. Just a suggestion.
Yes first of the day or first after the doctor's lunch break...
Love seeing Celia with Abby
Cilla
Long waits at appointments with an Autistic child are very difficult. I sympathize with u.
Everyone would be cranky if they had to wait an hour over the set time.
I agree 👍
I agree with that, sometimes I think what’s the point of coming to the doctors on time if they are just going to have you wait in the waiting room. 😂
I have worked in a medical hospital, clinic, ER, Express Clinic, & COVID clinic over the past 20 years, and I can assure you that you were not waiting for an hour because there was nothing better for the provider or staff to do.
