John and Paul sharing a mike? Not their typical configuration but clearly indicated in this space and time. So joyful to see their young enthusiam and that of every boomer alive back felt it too. John and his rhythm guitar and raw throat, Paulie's thumping Hofner- so cute and willing to play to the camera. George, just finding himself and Ringo on top, sitting high up showing us what a drummer actually does. After hearing and seeing them in 63 and 64 - we knew NOTHING was ever going to be the same again.
I was 13 when their music came to America. We were smacked between the ears. Oh, how I remember those days. All of a sudden, the American bands were OUT! The British invasion began and suddenly nothing was ever the same. It was a great time to be an American teenager.
Under appreciated song. It is one of my all time favorites. I especially love this live version. Great! Paul's bass playing and George's simple but effective riffs on his guitar. What a classic. Tie it all together with John&Pauls vocals and the harmonica.

Thats the John Lennon I love ! It brings chills down my spine, the most talented and versatile group this world has ever seen. Simply amazing!Yeah and never forget Sargent Peppers and the White album and not to mention my favorite, Rubber Soul!
I was 9 years old and sat entranced in front of our old black and white TV the very night this was aired. I loved Shindig. And seeing the Beatles sing this blew me away. My mom was telling me she didn't like me watching this but I got my way anyhow.
The Beatles were under exclusive contract with Ed Sullivan for live US TV appearances. They got around this by sending film and video clips from their British TV appearances to US TV shows like Shindig and Hullabaloo.
Have watched a lot of Beatle music vid/concert footage, and I have come to this conclusion: Paul McCartney is a John Lennon fan, he's always kinda looking at John with this admiring look, and John looks back and laughs, or smirks, knowing that they all are just nailing it, every single time. George adds so much and is very confident in his singing and playing, just exudes it. Ringo is just in his own little world, but never misses a beat. Its hard to find footage where the band makes a mistake singing or playing...incredible.
Paul deferred to John (to the top, boys!) whom he saw as more raw and worldly. As Paul grew older, and John went through his Ono/messiah period, their relationship changed. But, they always loved each other.
That's what having God-given talent in the first place, will do when combined with playing six-to-eight hours a night, month after month in Hamburg or any place else -- you can't help but be incredible.
I don't think John has a greater fan than Paul - not even Yoko. Paul was there at the beginning and has an insider's knowledge that no one else could possibly have.
The smile George throws to John at 1:47......PRICELESS :)
1:47 HEY!
Then George smiles.
That was funny.
Cool guys! All of them, that's why they were known as the
Fab 4
John gives him a shotout and George just beams. It's so cute.

They were the cutest. ❤
I love how they’re just smiling through the whole song. Especially John. 😁
There was never any competition within the group, they were all great. They really complimented each other, that's why they made history.
Truth, Chuck Pestacchi, truth!
'The chemistry...the chemistry...'
I was 13 when their music came to America. We were smacked between the ears. Oh, how I remember those days. All of a sudden, the American bands were OUT! The British invasion began and suddenly nothing was ever the same. It was a great time to be an American teenager.
The Beatles were flying high here. Whenever I see a Beatles live video , I always look for the "look" between John and Paul. I love The Beatles.
i was singing this song and my sister comes by and says "yes you are"
great sister, send her hello from a random youtuber
So she technically called you a loser, but had not time to explain as of why she founded you to be one?
rip
34103070674978532046 its called sibling rivalry hahaha
ha !!
I liked the comment of a younger fan: “I can’t believe The Beatles were real.”
This live song is what happiness and joy means! I’m 64 now and still giddy over these songs and artists, thanks for posting
The Beatles are the rockstar legends of rock!! The best band ever!! that God created when back in the day everyone was happy and humble.
Oh! man, the bass of Paul is incredible in this song.
JOSUÉ CARNEIRO was going to leave a comment on Paul's rocking bass on this tune but I'll just dido your observation !

... And he never even looks at the fingerboard on those walking lines ...
@@Tonetwisters ...while singing harmony! That bass must have felt like an extension of his arm.
What a great, great song. So simple, so effective.
John on the harmonica, rocks it!!!!
He's so good it keeps playing when he takes his mouth off it...lol
+Jeremy Shirland is a backing track but he plays too
That part my dog was dancing 😂
bob dylan
Sounds as good today as it did 52 years ago! Thanks for posting this gem!
Ok, so...I was alive then...not by much...but I was. And what a wonderful song! Peace!
Paul's bass sound is so clear, love it ❤️
The entertainment phenomenon of the century. Yep. Thank u. And 3 of them from the same neighborhood
change century to 'teraannum' (a trillion years), and it's correct.
Pretty much said it..."The entertainment phenomena of the century."
Great tune ,great performance, johns voice is amazing, the harmonies, the electric guitars ,rings powerful groove ,pals walking bass....wow.
Some of the best bass guitar work you'll ever hear!
Unreal musicians
Could have seen more of George with that great GRETSCH sound he’s making ! This stuff never gets old!!!! 👍🇺🇸💙🖖🏻
stunning words everytime I listen to it it just feels like the first time
Under appreciated song. It is one of my all time favorites. I especially love this live version. Great! Paul's bass playing and George's simple but effective riffs on his guitar. What a classic. Tie it all together with John&Pauls vocals and the harmonica.
the songs are evening delights. they really are immortally great , unsurpassed.
Je suis triste pour mon ami qui m'a fait découvrir l'oeuvre de "the Beatles" en 1972 et qui n'aura pas eu la chance de connaitre RUclips grace à qui on peut voir tous ces documents d'archives. Disparu en 1978 r.i.p.
I was 14 years old when this came out. What a great time for music!
John suffered the death of his mother when he was a child and desertion by his father one can only assume that his mother's love and the love of his auntie Mimi gave him the strength to survive many would have gone under in those circumstances "I'm a loser and I've lost someone who's near to me I'm a loser and I'm not what I appear to be although I laugh and I act like a clown beneath this mask I'm wearing a frown........ my tears are falling like rain from the sky is it for her or myself that I cry"
Phil Thornton a very sad song
Phil Thornton Powerful huh?
Help is another very meaningful song. Fame overwhelmed them.
Very astute correlation, that ... Methinks you have quite a good point.
Phil Thornton, I never thought of it that way -- good observation!
John singing about being a loser and they still screamed. No wonder he was disenchanted at performing live.
Among many many other things it was the sheer joy of performing together and the energy they generating while doing it that made them so great in this early.mid period. Ist all on dosplay here. The amazing synthesis of four separate people uniting to produce one glorious sound institution!
I was about 12 when I saw this on snowy T.V. in Toronto on a Buffalo station we could get. I remember this and remembering learning it on my cheap electric guitar...it has always stayed with me, this song....thanks for posting it. I remember "when".
This is just so awesome there almost aren't words to describe it...
THE BEATLES WERE THE KINGS AND THEIR MUSIC STILL ON TOP AND THE BEST, IF YOU SEE THIS VIDEO YOU WILL THINK WAS RECORDED LIVE YESTERDAY ,CAUSE THEIR HAIR STYLE, THEY WERE THE FIRST TO HAVE THAT STYLE IN THE MUSIC INDUSTRY.
I'm only here for the milk commercial at the beginning
Not at all.
Same, totally😂👌
Hahahaha
Ye god- no wonder people were so unhealthy. 3 times a day, ummm lactose and cassein.
Milk burps = gah-rosse >barf
Real music ❤ real talent ❤😊
Such a great performance! A song that sounds as fresh today as then. Like most ALL their songs! What songwriters!!
I've been failing at life and struggling, so I searched up "im a loser" in tears, and found this. This cheered me up a bit! Thank you guys.
Hi Archie! Look up the song 'Keep passing the open window' by Queen. I lost my son recently. Just wanted to encourage you! Music is a good release.
Hoping things are better for you now.
I can't get enough of their music is just the best!!!!😍😍😍😍😍
Just love the Beatles...
*1:56 the way Paul is looking at John and the little 'yeah' he gives. Adorable.
Paul's bass lines were always so perfect for each song.
Thats the John Lennon I love ! It brings chills down my spine, the most talented and versatile group this world has ever seen. Simply amazing!Yeah and never forget Sargent Peppers and the White album and not to mention my favorite, Rubber Soul!
The list goes on..and..on..and..on..and...on....................✌️
John sure knew something the rest of us mortals didn't, and probably never will.
just like king david, he knew a secret chord
Espectacular la cara de admiración de Paul cuando ve cantar a John.
Paul watching John sing and saying yes to cheer him on is the best thing ever
John ' s voice sounds great in this live version. I love it.
I miss John Lennon so much it isn't funny. What a genius.
Thanks to that piece of human waste M.D.C. we all lost him.
MadFashionista1 STFU you grandma 👵
Buu3tb 22 ur an idiot. You’re just disrespectful to this musical genius who literally got shot! I hate fucking trolls like you who mess everything up
Stop Snitchin that was so disrespectful and very unneeded. If you are going to say stuff like that just get off of RUclips
See John on this video makes me think of him like someone who teleported himself from the future.
Oh Paul! 0:54 : forgetting the lyrics once again...haha!
Both of them sharing complicity with a smile :-D
+Gata Barbieri Ha! Good catch.
Many thanks for putting together these songs by the greatest band ever. Brill that much of the focus is on the late great Johnny Ace.
I was 9 years old and sat entranced in front of our old black and white TV the very night this was aired. I loved Shindig. And seeing the Beatles sing this blew me away. My mom was telling me she didn't like me watching this but I got my way anyhow.
I still miss them.
You have no idea what John was thinking. You didn't know him.
Love them but it's easy to find plenty of their mistakes singing and playing even on many of their records.
Band of the century!!!!!!
Never to be repeated. Such talent to came together is beyond belief!
