Explains why the quality of the show is trash. The Jordan probably outsourced the production to a worse factory.
I got the shelflife joints and am totally satisfied. Plus I use the hang tag as a keychain too.
Jordan Brand tried to reintroduce the Flight Club back in 2007 via an email invitation or by text. It didn't last very long. The first drop was for the AJ XV and it was limited to 2 pairs per person. I think the hope there was so that more people could get exclusive drops and eventually more product but just never caught on or those that were managing it let it drop off. Could've been something cool.
Alongside the Eminem 2s. I was a member and bought the 15 Retro. Should’ve bought those 2s. They say for a long time 🤦🏻♂️😂

One of the my faves is the 2, and this year has been a blessing with the release of the 2's. Loving the Shelflife and TWO18's. I usually like Titan collabs however not these. Happy he did a review of the Shelflife as he's my go to for material quality!!! Thanks Homie
The Air Jordan 2 is one of my favorite Jordan's. I used to own the previous Air Jordan 2 Low Chicago Retro. I loved feeling the Full-Length Air under my feet. I played basketball in them and the only thing that isn't great on them is the heel lock down. It's ok at best (for the low).

Glad you reviewed this pair! I actually had a similar issue on the shelflife collab. The paint on the midsole had a big spot where it was not filled properly. I also picked up two pairs and returned the better of the two.
I'm not a big AJ 2 fan but I do like them adding some fun color and materials. Both of these look really nice.
Chris I had the same issue with the aj1 low og unc that released a month ago. The pair I got from snkrs on release day had a messed up right shoe that wobbled and didn’t sit flat. Lot of glue and crooked leather on the toe cap area. Luckily they restocked on Nike app later and I got a second pair which was way better, and returned the first.
I’m no simp for these brands but I gotta give Jordan props for these 2’s which imo normally look boring these though, they look amazing and yes the toe box gives them a more refined designer look 😊👌🏿
I would rather have updated tech not the old stuff from the 80’s. That’s why Jordan’s aren’t first on my list of sneakers to buy. But overall they look pretty nice.

I got the shelflife and the quality is awesome. And the fact that the extra colored lace works perfectly with the shoe color.
I would rather wait for the Chicago 2s, I wish Nike would just pre-order all OG colorways. As for new ones like the Zions, etc, just mass produce them.
Per usual, thank you for the detailed and careful (care full full of care) video. I really like the Jordan 2, but my comment is about the most recent rerelease of the jumpman team pro 2. I don’t know about the quality, but reading the tech specs they are using air sole for the cushion. Was it that way in the original? It grinds my gears that they are rereleasing these retro shoes with worse leather and less cushion for more money. I never had these, but I thought they had zoom air for cushion. This practice got onto my radar when you did the review of the most recent jumpman pro 2 and they were not using zoom air. Those are bucket list shoes and a big draw was the zoom. As I’m writing this, I see they have also brought the pro team 2 back and are using AIR as cushion and charging $145, while I remember them being about $120. Arg.

I hit on the Shelflife version and, while my least favorite of the three, I do love 2 lows. Unfortunately the quality was hot garbage (poorly cut panels, numerous glue spots, etc.) so they went back to Nike. That’s 3 for 3 on returns recently, all for quality issues, so dang disappointing.😒

I had a similar thing happen with the Taxi 1 in my size, I won SNKRS Pass and looked at 3 or 4 different pairs in the Nike store because craftsmanship, qc issues, and material inconsistency was so bad, some of the leathers on the left vs right shoe looked so different on a couple pairs, and a lot of the leather had little marks or indentions for some reason. Finally settled on 2 shoes that didnt looked all jacked up and inconsistent.
I have the Two18, been wanting them for a cool min.

My pair looked good, but honestly would not have thought to check for that bulge and I often don't always try on my shoes until I am going to wear them out (unless I am not sure how the silhouette fits). My pair is actually pretty good, but thanks for the heads up on this possible issue!

Hey, so funny story. It seems like there is a host if issues going on with these particular Jordan 2 low sneakers. I purchased the Shelflife pair and one of the eyelets was totally broken off. Like what the hell??? This is what Nike and Jordan brand are doing? Where was quality control, napping?? SMH Always awesome watching your vids. Keep up the great work!
Yeah corduroy triggers a weird mid 90’s memory for me as well…. That’s why I can relate, these shoes are nice, but it’s a pass for me. I wish you bought the 3rd one of the bunch…. The brown pair 2-18s. And would’ve loved to hear you review them bc their story about the Flint Michigan water crisis was a cool story. And was also curious to hear about their quality too.

This is all too common lately with Nike, and utterly disappointing when you hit a pair and they are F grade quality. I have the Fire Red 3's, and the right shoe leather quality looks like a withered grandma, compared to the crisp look of the left shoe. I don't even want to wear them. Also ordered a pair of the 5 low PSGs from Nike and the quality was so bad, even the guy at the Nike store said they were going to write them off as defective. Then my Black Canvas 4s showed up. The holes in the upper eyelets weren't even completely punched out. Like 9/12 weren't punched properly. I had to get a belt hole puncher and finish the job. And the right shoe has an awkward shape in the front, when they rolled the suede they screwed it up. It's wearable but noticeably annoying to me when I look down at my foot and see 2 different shoe shapes.
The QA/QC issue is especially disappointing given that this is the Jordan 2: the original was Italian made and meant to be a huge step up in material and assembly quality for the brand.
was able to grab the shelflife for $100 under retail. Real sleeper for sure. Love all the details to them. Just trying to figure out if the laces look better loose or choked
I'm not a huge fan of Jordan 2 lows, but these actually look pretty good. It's too bad that the defect in the sole takes away from what could be a pretty good shoe.

The left shoe on my midnight 4s’ is jacked 😕 The panel around the toe is off by where your pinky toe would be. Pretty salty. Especially for $210 and the fact that they’re sold out everywhere. I doubt there’s anything they’d do except let me return them (nike, got ‘em off SNKRS)
The Shelflife runs a little too snug coz of the padding, I suggest go half-size up

The more I think about it shouldn’t these have been Jordan 9’s like I get the 2’s don’t get any love (and these are 🔥)but aren’t these supposed to represent globalization of basketball and 9’s are all about that it just makes more sense
