@@MattWeedon Big Jilly's on Smack fan. Spageti Western. Lots of good stuff. Quirky good is my description of Primus. They're definitely an acquired taste. Took a LONG time for me to truly appreciate them. Like almost 30 years to do so.
I really enjoyed this cover, you are very good, this is not an easy piece by Primus, you nailed it, get more cameras to see diferent angles of your work, keep it up, like and new subscriber😀👌
followed you from a Facebook post. I've been trying to put together a Primus tribute with a guitarist for over 20 years. I can play everything on bass. if you don't make it I'd be surprised.
By the way, bro, that kit is fucking bonkers lol it looks like Dave Grohl’s, but expanded into the size of Neil Pearts kit. Those Octabans are so damn sweet I mean I need an electric kid because I’m in an apartment but I did get top-of-the-line w this Alesis. Prefer it over Roland. Is yrs a pearl?
Given respect to the greatest drummer the past 30 years and hopefully he'll be the next drummer of The Lee and lifeson experience Tim herb Alexander. He is the best linear drummer I've seen in the past 30 years and nobody layers drum beats better than he does. And people say that Les Claypool is the reason Primus is where they are that's bullshit Tim Alexander drumming without that they would not be the band that they are today you look at the drumming on Frizzle fry sailing the Seas suck on this pork soda Tales from the Punchbowl the EP they did when they were Voltron in 2004 then in 2015 Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and in 2017 the desaturating seven. Yeah he may have left the band a couple of times but the guys McCain the drummers of Primus just kept the drum seat warm for Tim until he came back those guys could never replace such greatness. Les and Larry will never find a guy like Tim Alexander he just can't be replaced r but you can never replace greatness like Tim. But nobody plays Neil peart's drumming better than Tim Alexander I mean we saw that on the tribute tour for Rush and the Fallen comrade Neil Peart when they did one of the more difficult albums to play live and that's a farewell to Kings and they did it every night as a part of their second set on that tour and it was Flawless and the drum set Tim used looked just like Neil slingerland from 77. And I've seen Tim on every album that he's been on with the exception of suck on this I even saw him in New Orleans during Frizzle Fry at Tipitina's. Primus had only just put out their second studio album with sailing the Seas of cheese and it was so unique an so incredibly badass and just absolutely top form musicianship and think about it they were only 27 or 28 years old when Rush took them out on the roll the bones tour that's how much respect Rush already had for Primus. And I was there for that show at UNO Lakefront Arena in New Orleans and it's still the greatest concert I have ever seen and that red rose/25 made it that much more spectacular. But the Rhythm Section of Primus is as good as you can get in the music industry people think it's because of Les Claypool yeah right less would not be the bass player he is without Tim Alexander. And just when you thought Primus couldn't get any better and follow up sailing the Seas of cheese they did it with pork soda and then with Tales from the Punchbowl and any other album they did in between that time wasn't worth a damn like a Brown album green naugahyde or rhinoplasty. The only album that was pretty damn good without Tim was anti-pop. And the sausage album. And after making desaturating seven it was like they picked up right where they left off after Tales from the Punchbowl. Well they did have the EP from 2002 when herb came back and they also went on tour as Voltron. And I heard you know that Danny Carey might fill in for Tim Alexander until they find another drummer I mean Danny's the only guy that is even remotely close to Tim Alexander when it comes to playing Primus music. Tim cant be replaced. So God bless you Tim Alexander wherever you are and I hope you continue your drumming career and if it's not with Primus maybe it will be with lifeson and Lee. You are certainly deserving of it over Mike Portnoy
@@MattWeedon wow! That's cool man. It must be convenient knowing how to make drums from scratch. I'm trying to put together an 8 piece PDP kit right now and it's proving to be pretty difficult. I even have to lower my standards on a lot of specs. I would love to just order a custom kit, but custom ordering is way too pricey for a beer bar drummer like me. haha
@@totigerus I have trouble finding 16” floor toms with the pdp stuff. I own a couple maple cx kits. I’ll eventually end up blending models and repainting them.
