Rols, get better soon. We are still fighting a cold. You got a lot done just the same. I am glad Suzie got to visit family in the UK. I am not much for currie, but that looked good. I had a butternut squash on my counter for over a year. I was testing it to how long it would last. I baked it with mixed veg, and it was great.❤

The battens and insulation are a clever way to have exposed beams and still have warmth. Those glass doors are lovely. Always something to do. No boredom at the château.

Rols, a big part of the charm of your place is that it’s not so ‘perfect perfect’ like a boring new construction. I love that you use the ceramic roofing too. My favorite Chateau. I feel for you Rols in September I caught some virus( non Covid) and I still get the odd coughing fit or scratchy throat? Hope you recover soon. Nice little haul of veggies there and nothing wrong with patching up the roof on the outbuildings if it’s going to save it.

I see others having given the same advice i was goung to, hot water with a Tbs. lemon juice and a Tbs. apple cider vinegar, a tsp or so of honey, but to give it a real healing punch, i mix in about 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper and a clove of garlic thats been pressed through a crusher. A good dash or 2 of cinnamon is very healing too, and helps with the flavor! I call this my Flu Brew, and have found it to be very helpful drinking at the first sign of illness. 3 times a day for a few days and I've knocked out many a "bug" that threatened to get me down! Hello Susan, we want to remove the whole bay tree as there is a large crack running up the bread oven wall which we believe is the bay tree so it needs complete removal. We have other bay trees around the place which are not near the buildings. Best wishes, Suzie and Rols

regarding panel joins my suggestion create joins. that is instead of one join in a cavity run. you create 4 joins. thus not eye sore.
