If Nigeria is to achieve accelerated development then effort must be made to ensure adequate security in all parts of Nigeria.
Non state actors have taken over farm lands in Plateau, Benue and Nasarawa state dispossesing the indigenous people of their rights to do their traditional farming.
The security agencies is helpless in acting.
This is because the federal government of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu lack the will power to act against the interest of the non state actors.
President Tinubu simply do not want to offend the northerners especially the fulani people whom he is banking to win re-election for 2024 presidential election.
The Nigerian Armed forces give security to retired officers who attain the rank of Lt.General .and above..so hence the General in question was not entitled to security guards...Truth be told more needs to be done to improve security of ex service men.
