That old truck reminds me of a truck one of my customer brought to my shop back in the 80's. It was a 67 Chevy with a 283 2bbl and 3 speed on the column. He only drove it to pull his golf cart and trailer. He wanted me to overhaul the motor just because he didn't want to have any problems with it. It ran pretty good already. After I got the motor out, he decided it needed more power. So I did all the normal hotrod things you do to one and that little 283 came alive. Coolest part to this story is the man wanted me to drive the truck to make sure it didn't have any problems. I drove it for over a year before he decided to put it back in his garage. He would come by and get it to go play a round of golf a couple times a week and then bring it back and leave it with me to drive. I sure was sick when he finally took my toy away from me!!!
That's awesome! I tried to buy one a few times but they always slipped through my fingers.

The plywood skinnies on the Mercedes might not get the power to the ground very well but they do tuck up inside the fenders nicely.

So Bruce shipped the last cup he was painting off before I could get an update. I'll have to ask him what he has next to paint. KC did not get a line with ARW. He worked with them and came up with a few designs but they dragged their feet for months and never would get anything done for him.

Yeah idk anything about that someone painted it and KC cleared it for a friend and Bruce gave it the magic man touch to finish it.

Erick Barrandey right! I have a 72 f100 and I bought a crown Vic and pulled the drivetrain, front suspension, brakes and rearend off it because buying everything separate is too much money! That’s why we watch these kinda of programs so we can dream

At 4:20, what's the gauge on the left, it went full tilt after prove-out...
At 16:15, who makes that and do they now make it for a 2-door?
Not sure on the grill, we didn't build the truck just did a few modifications. The gauge on the left was the full gauge and went full tilt because it was full. Which was good because we had installed a new sending unit and we were making sure everything was calibrated correctly. AMP Research makes the electronic side step. Its actually for an F250 and KC had bought it to go on his Super Duty but Zach cut it down for a 2 door and installed it on the international.

The detailing light Bruce is using, custom made or a name brand?
The wall of lights is custom made, we did it at the shop. He does also use a single light on a stand and that is a SnapOn light.
3.2l Mercedes m104 with a turbo would have been sweet 🤤 or maybe a om648 compound turbodiesel 😉
A modern AMG engine would be my choice

Naw man. Just short on man power vs projects. Videos have been lacking because I've either been on the floor helping, doing parts runs or helping KC with Lube Center stuff. We should be back to normal schedule over the holidays.

Black paintwork sucks. I had a Mk1 Vauxhall Astra GTE freshly painted when I did a cosmetic restoration on it. Trying to keep the car clean was a never ending nightmare. Every rain drop and waxing fluff just cling on to ruin the look. Not bought a black car since.
