  • Masai Russell won her first global medal and it's Olympic gold in the 100mH in a time of 12.33 seconds. Jasmine Camacho-Quinn takes silver and Cyrena Samba-Mayela wins France's first medal on the track of these games.

    Very proud of Masai!! The Women’s 100m Hurdles was one of the most competitive events. It lived up to the hype. All the competitors were fierce. 🥇🇺🇸🥇

      Lol This her 1st appearance in olympucs She not even queen of the hurdles. That belongs to Syd. If Massey (or however her name is said) gets world championships, WR's and multiple olympic golds then that's queen type stuff fa sure

    I remember Tee’s interview with Masai last year after he semis when she failed to qualify the final in Budapest and seeing how sad she was. Look at her now.
    A lot can happen in a year.

    English or French, Samba-Mayela's enunciation is sublime. She definitely did not disappoint as the French star in T&F. ...
    Intelligent, beautiful and fast AF, she's got a bright future in the sport, way beyond the Olympics.

    They actually ran on the same relay teams, and on the same team at the University of Kentucky with Sidney McLaughlin, and Abby Steiner

      @Surveil101 No they didn’t run on the same relays together at Kentucky. Camacho-Quinn and Sydney ran together. And then Steiner and Russell ran together. All 4 were never there at the exact same time.

      That often happens when people switch languages. Everyone in my family is bi-lingual, and we all have different pitches when we go back and forth. But it does come across as kind of schizo.

    Jasmine still holds the Olympic record 12.36. True about the time getting faster Jasmine ran 12.37 to win gold in Tokyo 2021. In Paris 2024 she ran faster 12.36 and got bronze.
