  • "Deep inside a valley is a forest that breathes slowly, enveloped in silence for perhaps a few hundred years. While meditating in it, you could hear the breathing and whispering of the forest. While gazing into the layer of trees, you could feel the rhythmic phrases of the individual shapes echo. In time, the forest turns into an unknown living form beyond time and space, and starts to move vibrantly."
    - Hideaki Suzuki (translation by Mika Sasaki)
Currently, Hideaki Suzuki is a professor at Osaka Music University. Suzuki's music is an interesting mixture of his urge to preserve the tradition of Japanese culture and to go beyond it. Not only does his music display new acoustic experiments, but also a desire for searching inner spiritual expression.
