As a licensed travel professional, this was by far the best video I have come across that outlines the resort and the details. I loved the commentary about the steps as that is really important, especially for elderly and/or multigenerational families that travel together. Great video! People this guy was staying at the Bahia Principe Grande , he lying when he said he don't feel like going over the luxury side, he could not as you have to be staying there. the luxury side is better food, better accommodation and do not allow Grande occupancy. second he can only make three dinner reservation per week. while the luxury side occupant have unlimited reservations.
This not a full tour. I know why he could not go over the luxury side. As he is not allowed. The grande booking is restricted and only can book there restaurants in a week. While the luxury side can for both sides and have unlimited restaurant reservations
You did a great job at capturing the grounds. It’s the most I’ve seen from all the video’s have been watching. I’ve got family members who I’ve stayed here multiple times and spoke of how well kept the property is and how huge and beautiful it is. Now I’m anxious to visit with my family for the summer ☺️

I love this place, we stayed there 2 years in a row b4 the pandemic. Me and my wife the first time and decided to take the kids the second time. Great place for family and also for couples in the luxury side.

Thanks for the informative video. I booked a reservation at the luxury side and was having second thoughts until I found your video. We are keeping our reservations😊.
Good! Keep the luxury side reservation. Luxury side rooms and actual service are far superior. Rooms are very dated and interior spaces near rooms etc are horrible at the Grand side to be honest. Also, you have access to the Grand side and not the other way around.

We are going in the summer but are taking family friends with us , but couldn’t find a video done well enough to explain why we so loved the place to share with them .Yours literally teleported us there with you and CLEARLY shows why both my husband and son were sunburnt after 2 days as they LIVED between the pool and beach and not lather on the sunblock often enough as I suggested . 15 days later , they still didn’t want to leave . I was also wondering about changes since we went shortly after the country reopened to guests when COVID was still brand new and in swing and lots of restaurants were still closed .You clearly showed us more of what we weren’t able to experience as well as the enhanced sanitizing from luggage to meals . Again many thanks and well done . Excellent video !!!

I opted for another all inclusive property in Montego Bay - thats not too extensive in scale, base on the information you have shared.
My feet is already acheing just by watching. You would need a scooter or golf cart. Alternatively the walk would easily get you to complete 10000 steps per day. Keep up the good work

@@dinextadventure I went for the Holiday Inn Resort, in Montego Bay as its a better value in terms of trip purpose for us , its closer to other local amenities offsite and would more suit my 7 yr old who is more interested in seeing the everyday life as it will be her 1st time to Ja.
I saw this the last time we stayed in Montego Bay as an option. We wanted the swim up room and stayed at the Royalton. Next trip, which is soon and often, we will again look into the Holiday Inn Resort. Thanks

We are planning to go this year but have heard that the main buffet and two living blocks will be closed for refurbishment so they are worried. But I keep trying to tell them how huge this resort is, that this won't matter ! Your video captures everything perfectly. ❤
Hi Jodi, thank you for watching and your kind words. I heard about the accident they had as well. Kitchen fire specifically. Nevertheless, if you have a chance, can you check the difference in rates for the Luxury side of Bahia? Please do that. Depending on the time of the year, it is very affordable. The rooms are nicer and you get full access to the Grand Bahia side. If you're staying at the Grand Bahia side, you do not get access to the Luxury side. So, before you go, see if the price difference is minimal to avoid any disappointments with the buffet issue. It's a huge property and chances are they have enough space to accommodate moving one of their kitchen and buffet. They have multiple kitchens and buffet sections otherwise. But see your options and make sure you are well informed. See if anyone else posted recent videos since the kitchen fire. Just trying to help as best as I can. Aside from that, the property itself is HUGE and beautiful. So, so many places to enjoy and be with your family alone, if you like. Sorry this was so long.

I've just checked our booking it says 'junior suite with garden view Balcony or terrace ' I guess this could be on either side is that right ? I'll try and call our rep is not in until weds. Been to the Luxury side numerous times and love it Last time was Christmas 2021
It is certainly cleaner and prettier. I took a small tour over there because they were trying to sell us their Time Share plan named Privilege Club.
Membership not worth it some is limited to travel certain time of the year which i go to different hotels and places instead so they are the looser

Nice hotel, beach sucks. Grew up next door. I knew when they were building this hotel. Many memories jumping off the rocks in my backyard. It’s beautiful nonetheless. I’ll definitely check it out.
Yep! The property is great but the beach is not the best in comparison to other properties.
You can also get fresh coconut water in the the morning if you asked the ground keeper

I'm heading there in October of this year. I'm so glad to see the sign about not holding lounging seats. That was one of my biggest complaints about the Bahia in the D.R. Every chair had a towel on it by the time you ate breakfast. And half the time, the people who put them there, didn't even come back.
Agreed. I love that they try to manage that BS. It actually works here because I personally observed it. We have been to so many hotels and it really is annoying when people do that.

Thank you... Lots and lots of alcohol. Food is honestly just OK. However, there are so many options for food that I am sure there is something for everyone. I will be doing a review of those things in another video.

All reviews show this as a nice resort. Considering it for my stay when I vacation there. The only drawback is all the stairs.

I really do not want to say negatives about this property because the video wasn't really about that. However, what I can say to you is that you should try to avoid this side of the property and instead, stay at the sister property right next door. It is their luxury side and the service and cleanliness is night and day. Also, if you stay next door, which is in a similar price range, you get access to this side as seen in the video. This was exactly what I needed someone to do, as everything that was being shown did no justice for the hotel. Although I will be on the adult side at least I have some idea of beautiful the hotel is :)
And I will definitely be visiting that see food guy to get my lobster and shrimps. Hope he is still there.

Going in April.Our 3rd experience with Bahia. Been to Punta Cana and Mexico, but this one seems Beautiful great job capturing.
Beach doesn't look very impressive though. Is it white sand?
It rained the night before so the sand was still a little wet in this video. We have seen powdery white sand elsewhere though and this didn’t seem like it. Could be because of the on and off rain.

Yep! Thank you for watching. It's probably the biggest resort in Jamaica. It certainly is the most popular and the most booked in the entire island due to its price. It can be an exhausting place to get around.

Honestly, I would not visit this hotel again. The luxury side, however, I would definitely visit. We toured the luxury side because they attempted to sell us their timeshare option. So I got to really explore the property but never recorded.

Do you know what’s the closest airport and what’s the distance?
The closest airport and the one that 99% of people traveling to that hotel from overseas use is the one in Montego Bay. It is approximately 90 minutes by car. Also, the drive is very, very scenic. So it is not boring at all.
