LOL! have binge-watched these videos and I can now recite the iv organics 3-in-plant guard label.
In southern Utah and now in Idaho we have had terrible problems with boring insects. My experience has been that any cut on a fruit tree when in leaf is an eventual death sentence.
I live in the Virginia Beach area. We are entering fall here. I suppose it is too late for the summer pruning? I am new to your channel, but I love your enthusiasm and knowledge!
Charles how is the avocado you topped a while back haven’t seen any updates about it. My avocado trees have exploded in growth this summer I’ve never seen something grow so much and its continuously shooting new growth.
For winter pruning, you said to prune two weeks AFTER the last chance of frost. So are you saying we should do Winter pruning in Spring when the soil is warming up? Or, did you mean to do winter pruning two weeks after the winter frost dates begin at the beginning of winter? Or did you mean to do it two weeks before the frost period is predicted to end at the end of winter just before spring planting?
Should you summer prune stone fruit in the summer because I heard you should prune a plum tree in summer but I’m not sure so I want to know what you say on that if you can thank you for sharing your knowledge with us.
How do you control ants from my citrus tree? I live in Southern California.
I am located in Colorado. Is it safe to summer prune here, too?

What are your thoughts regarding the larvae that ends up in the thumbs up in blueberries, figs & blackberries? Would mosquito netting help?
What do you do if you have already let your fruit trees get out of control?
I've really been enjoying your videos. So thank you for all the good info. I have a fig tree that got forgotten behind other plants and ended up rooting through the pot and growing all willy nilly. I don't want to lose it because whatever type it is, the figs are amazing. So I'm going to try and prune it and move it. Should I wait to prune it and just move it first? Or would it be ok to do both. I'm in the SF Bay Area (zone 9b)
