    Beautiful area and great video! I've spent many holidays in Alto Adige/Südtirol as a child and luckily I live very close to it now. One little correction: Ladin didn't develop in the Dolomites because of the remoteness. It used to be spoken widely in western Austria, eastern Switzerland and northern Italy until the Middle Ages. It is a Latin based language with influences of the languages spoken by the locals before the Romans. Variations are still spoken in the Dolomites and in Graubünden in Switzerland. It's called Rumantsch there.
