What I like the most about 47's lines is that he manages to avoid telling lies whenever possible in a way that is very ambiguous. My favorites are the conversations he has with Sierra Knox (Miami) while posing as her personal physician, and the several conversations he has as Tobias Rieper with Tamara Vidal (Mendoza). Tamara: "And what is that you do, Rieper? Don't tell me... Banker." 47: "Corporate Liquidator."
This is not an assasin simulator game, it’s a killer simulator. The devs know this quite well (that’s why it’s fun and unrealistic) and they create these lines to be specifically too on the nose for the player, but leaving the npc’s very oblivious. Which makes you chuckle if not outright laugh. There’s no need for a lore explanation of why he doesn’t talk much.

I once actually was in a situation kinda like this. I was in basic training in the military, me and the other recruits stood in a long line along the hallway of our barracks facing the wall on the other side. We were asked a question by a DI one by one and the answer to the question I got was written on the wall right behind the DI. I was pretty relieved that it played out this way because I really didn't know the answer and we would have had to do some more push ups if I got the answer wrong 😁

I watched a review recently of this game where the guy was complimenting the game, that it wasn’t an assassin simulator, it was a killer simulator, and the devs now it well. That’s why they create these funny lines for 47 to say that are too on the nose for the player, but the npc’s are completely oblivious.
I think the only game which has that (from what I've noticed) is Assassin's Creed: Revelations. During certain moments where you talk to a walking NPC, you can walk up to their side and then you'll start walking besides them automatically at the same pace. But yeah, despite HITMAN 2 and 3 having a "slow walk" button, it actually makes you walk slower than the NPCs. I don't know why game devs keep doing this.

They add the "cut throat" part in as a way to say how much he notices such words and thinks of it in another perspective. They don't do it as a joke. It describes what agent 47 notices.
Weird one picture is 47 with dual pistols when he doesn't ever have those in the trilogy. Shame, they fit him more than that single black pistol, he likes to still have a bit of flair

The fact that your character always walks way faster than the NPC’s is the most obnoxious thing in video games.

These games were so much fun. I know they're flawed and full of glitches, but the underlying gameplay loop was just so exciting and fun.
