@@Dubhats Honestly that's probably correct. Most Najeela lists that I know of are pretty pip intensive so it's likely a win-more like they said. Winota with the Humans is probably a better fit in all likelihood. Not sure what other cEDH deck would like this effect
3tree isn’t good enough because it is not fast enough. You need 4 humans and 2 generic mana before it is mana positive both Winona and Najeela need to already be out before it’s even a soul land and you want it for casting your commander usually. Plus both of them don’t need to cast big mono colored spells usually.
The bar for a colourless land in Winota is pretty high. There are many more colourless lands I'd rather have than this (Inkmoth, Blinkmoth, Talon Gates, Ancient Tomb, City of Traitors, Command Beacon, Urza's Saga, Homeward Path etc.). If you have 4 Humans in play you don't need a land that taps for 2, you've likely already won.
Something that's easy to miss about the 3 mana shapeshifter in Magda is that you can use it to loop stuff (LED, spell bomb, etb pingers, etc.) same as Elixir of Immortality does. Having both the combo enabler and 'finisher' piece in the same card is really good. For those running Elixir, this seems like a straight upgrade.
Barkform is definitely the better Artifact Dwarf from this set. It fits into a load of combo lines meaning you free up a slot in the deck. E.g. with Barkform you can use Sculpting Steel and The One Ring for infinite draw or you can infinitely recur Twinshot Sniper. There are other cards that do this but being an Artifact Dwarf that does this is really nice.
Lillysplash mentor is underrated here. Unlike Barron and Temur Sabertooth, you don’t need to recast the dockside, thus not triggering rhystic studies, it also needs less treasures which is typically the more important thing than instant speed
Not as important in Cedh though, but it also is a great tool for resetting clones. Since, like you said, you don't have to recast it. You can reset your Flesh Duplicate before it dies and keep it around... Sadly, it says "you control" instead of "you own"... darn, Gilded Drake & Perplexing Chimera would've loved it.
32:06 its not almost like giving it an etb. it's literally giving an etb to the creature, it can be doubled by delney. delney, dockside, and zinnia = 6 dockside triggers
As someone who just won games off of Lilysplash Mentor, the card is cracked. I don't have access to Emiel so having an enabler for Cloud of Faeries that needs 3 mana instead of 4 to enable has been a godsend
A little sad we didn’t get any discussion around Glarb 😢 Hoping for a second round of best frog commander in cEDH. We have Glarb, Flarb, Helga, Gitrog, Grolnok, Thalia & Gitrog, and the wombo combo of Yargle & Multani (honorary mention for Orvar).
This has been brought up on other channels, but Lilysplash Mentor is the same “speed” for a lot as Temur Sabertooth. Temur can be activated at Instant speed, but you need to be able to recast dockside, which is locked to sorcery speed unless you’ve cast Borne upon a wind. Just as a note!
@@spacelizbian yes, your absolutely right and it can activate multiple times to save the dockside, but if there isn’t removal, both still only win on your turn at sorcery speed I guess is another factor to consider. But yes, being able to save a creature at instant speed is really good
For Kastral, there's actually a handful of bird staples and a big list of birds that are either playable or become even better with Kastral. There's proliferating birds, big birds with good effects to cheat in. In addition, Aven Mindcensor and Ledger Shredder are birds. However, this is probably better as a high power EDH deck than a cEDH deck
When Baylin the haymaker got spoiled I was like man that goes in my casual Jetmir deck. And then noticed that him and Jetmir where drawn by the same artist which is neat.
What I'd like to say about baylen is that it has access to a shit ton of infinite token combos that either already see play in these colors or new ones with farmer cotton, delney, sabertooth, and the commander, or an a+b that some tayam pilots run with rosie cotton and scurry oak, this combo wins immediately with baylen, there is nantuko combos we have access to as well, I've been cooking on baylen for a bit, second or tied for best naya commander with rocco
Regarding the fox; challenge accepted 🤣 I played Light Paws a few years ago because I love foxes, I'll be happy forcing a bant card engine to be playable. No I don't think it should really be above a 2. I'm sure some people like me will manage to build a deck devoted to making it work with some success, but it also won't be something I want to bring to tournaments.

Love the video! If possible, I'd love it even more if there was like a wrap up at the end with a rating of all of the cards. Maybe highest rated to lowest rated?
I think with Arthur you actually just want to run bombs, play it more like Creativity/Ninjutsu. You flip into a creature that can just one shot someone (Blightsteel, etc.) It's still pretty slow though.
CORRECT ME IF I’M WRONG. Three tree city will most likely go into Krarkashima. You’re making multiple copies of krark, and there’s plenty of other goblins AND wizards in the deck. Just name the one that you have the most of in each given game
They mentioned Three Tree City potentially going in elves but the big thing is that we don't actually have 4 elves in play often and when we do we have enough mana from the elves. Nykthos is definitely the right comparison to make but the card is much worse than Nykthos
What about Three Tree City in Xyris? Feels like it would massively punish the super common card draw engines. It would become a weird, free, repeatable, but not as flexible smothering tide in that deck.
In temur thrasios you can lilysplash mentor being a non human green creature means it’s eaaasy af to tutor it to the battlefield, can even natural order into it if you got the dockside
Respectfully may I suggest posting the rating videos the day before release. I’ve already went to the release event and got all the cards I’ve wanted, and this video came out after I’ve already gotten home and finished the release event. Just a suggestion
Its a shame you didnt talk about Glrb, Calamity's Augur. Such fun commander that also cracks Doomsday piles and can win through a post doomsday silence with Lazotep Quarry...
I only just thought of this, but imagine Delney in zinnia Edit: thinking about this more, it's absolutely insane. If you cast a creature with power 3 or less with an ETB effect, it will trigger 6 TIMES with delney and zinnia out. Correct me if I'm wrong
Mr Foxglove isn't great. but it is worth mentioning that with cards like abundance, you get the card advantage side (even skipping lands), and the creature cheating side per attack trigger.
Note on Sticker Goblin, it is very difficult to go infinite. It only generates mana if you place a sticker, and blinking doesn’t reset the stickers. You can loop with Sabertooth, since the stickers reset when they move to hand, but the frog doesn’t work here.
Vren only cares if a creature was exiled, not specifically if it was exiled from the field. Tasha’s Hideous Laughter could make ALOT of rats against the right decks.
I believe with all my heart even if you skipped it over ygra eater of all can go cedh because the commander itself has a good amount of infinite combos and can also shut down my opponents creatures and artifacts at the same time with karn or collector ouphe
I want Tyler judging in all videos from now on please and thank you.
Three Tree City in Winota I think. I'm not a Winota pilot, but I have seen Winota have like 6-8 humans out at a time easily.
Maybe Najeela too? The amount of Warriors you usually get is pretty huge pretty quick
@@socalacura1338 Yeah I can see it in Najeela maybe too. I feel like Najeela doesn't struggle for Mana, but a boros deck like Winota may want it more.

I was looking for this comment … it just replaces elixir of immortality and isn’t a dead card before inf treasure, instead it helps you get there
You can also keep re-using Vexing Bauble
Lillysplash mentor is underrated here. Unlike Barron and Temur Sabertooth, you don’t need to recast the dockside, thus not triggering rhystic studies, it also needs less treasures which is typically the more important thing than instant speed

Barkform is actually a t in magda. It's elixir on a stick and the stick is also an artifact dwarf. It's an auto include in any magda list for sure.
yeah it's the best new card for magda since roaming throne, harvester is insanely good and slot efficient
You still can reanimate with INFAMOUS CRUELCLAW if you are using necromancy that targets only on etb not on cast.
