What did you get for Christmas? Have you seen the KA-BAR combat Kukri?

- Once upon a time I worked at a friends military surplus store selling various military surplus and of course knives. It's a great place to find discontinued hard to find things. I stopped by to get some pants and my friend let me pick out a blade. I picked the KA-BAR combat Kukri. I've helped sell many of these to people but I've never owned one myself.
So today I'll be sharing not only this but I'll be sharing my Nepalese made Kukri from Khukuri House. I feel that it is important to always have a Nepalese blade to show the differences to what I refer to as KLO's aka Kukri Like Objects. Much as champagne is only champagne if it comes from the champagne region of France, kukri's only come from Nepal and everything else is just sparkling wine aka KLO's.
So sit back and enjoy what Santa brought me for Christmas.

Oh, and I forgot, I also bought myself a Spyderco Zome Endura. Zome is an art form of hand dying, usually used with fabric. The scales are done with a brush and no two are the same.
I amd Shidan in a Japanese Sogobudo martial (arts) science and really liked the looks.

Yep, I got the Jungle Black Khukuri from the same place. I Christmas Gift to myself. Only problem is the sheath/case, has shrunk to the point where it is no longer usable. So I'm making a leather sheath for it. Its a great knife. Also the horn handles where cracking in the dryness of Afghanistan.

@@haveaknifeday Okay, I've got three pieces already cut out, out of 1/4 inch thick armor grade leather. Just need some thinner/playable leather to finish it. Then dye it black, and water proof it. Might be done in a week or so. The Khukuri the Jungle Black, has a 12 inch blade and a half guard like the Kabar. So its not a "Traditional" Khukuri, so it will be a good tool when I go camping. So when I get it done I will let you know, and I will post the video on my channel.

I am really into what I consider quality for the money. I got a gift card from a family member and got the Knifecenter Exclusive D2 CJRB Crag with the orange/red and black scales.
BTW, speaking of KLO’s I got the Alan Kay / Condor K-Tact early this past year.

Dose it come in a thicker model blade?
KaBar does have a bigger machete style but I do not know if it has a thicker spine.
