Funny you mention an overhaul for FITH, the park is re-doing the ride (the building is taking shape behind Fireman's Landing). As someone who calls SDC my home park, it's always neat to see someone who's never been there to share their rankings. I agree with your picks except I have Outlaw Run ahead of Time Traveler. It's too bad they were never able to relocate the former Ozark Wildcat from Celebration City to this park. That would be a great fit and it looked like a great ride when it was around.
I just did a road trip of several parks throughout the midwest, and this is really the only one I plan on going back to next year. Time Traveler and Outlaw Run are amazing coasters, and I want to get to the other mountain coasters in the area (Copperhead Mountain Coaster was fun, but I didn't get on the others).
I think Time Traveller is the most re-rideable coaster I’ve ever been on. Not only is every ride a completely different experience, it’s the most comfortable train I have ever been in. However, some of the rides can be less thrilling than others. It’s a bit of a gamble. But, the best rides on Time Traveller would make it a Top 3 coaster for me if it were able to pull that off for every ride. Going through inversions sideways is pure insanity! I would also put Outlaw Run as my #2 at SDC. OMG, the night ride is infinitely better than The Beast. The only thing that kills Outlaw Run for me were the restraints that brutally crushed my thighs. Love the layout, but by the time we roll into the station I’m wondering how much more I can take and practically praying to hear the release on the restraints. Despite Outlaw Run feeling like a medieval torture device if the restraints come down during the ride, I’d still say SDC has the second best 1-2 punch of any park I’ve been to.
VERY unpopular opinion here: I have Thunderation above Wildfire. I absolutely love vintage, old coasters and can tolerate roughness and jerkiness which I didn’t find too terrible until the tunnel during the helix where it felt like the train was gonna de-rail (which added to the thrill imo). I got a bigger kick out of this than wildfire which lacked originally or forces in my opinion. The only thing that would keep wildfire above thunderation is the setting. It looks stunning.
Agree 100% on the rankings. Time Traveler and Outlaw run are very close to a tie for me. One advantage for Outlaw Run vs time traveler is a typically much shorter wait in line.
I rode it last year and found it pretty rough as well. I had high hopes because it’s reputation as the best mine train, but I strongly prefer Road Runner Express at Fiesta Texas
I’d switch the top two but I wouldn’t die on that hill… both Outlaw Run and Time Traveler are amazing. Time Traveler is like nothing I’ve ever ridden and Outlaw Run is just totally out of control. I actually think not being super smooth works in Outlaw Run’s favor.

I have always loved thunderation. I haven't been in awhile but it has always been one of my favorites.

That is how I rank the coasters. Time traveler is just so unique and fun, I have to put it at #1.

Haha! There are Coaster Enthusiasts and then there are Coaster Masochists! I think Coaster Masochists get to enjoy more of the rides in the long run!
