Yes would love a complete video from start to finish, great great idea I’m not sure where the fiberglass step came in but if you did a full video that would be awesome thank you
In the middle of my shower remodel using your products right now. Would really like to see the fabrication of the panels. This video jumped to finishing the holes in the panel. I'm likely starting my fabrication in the next 10 days. I've watched your foam shower wall visors, but they are a couple of years old and I could use a nice refresher.
That is my favorite color for this epoxy wall idea. Might as well do all the walls, plus the ceiling, while you're at it. less seams, looks easy to do once you do one panel.
This is absolutely awesome!!! I currently have a shower/tub combo in my master bathroom. My wife just went through a horrible medical ordeal (had an abscess on her spinal cord that caused her to be a quadriplegic and is now fighting her way back to using her limbs again) and there's no way she can step over the side of a tub. She could barely manage it before the surgery because of back problems. I intend on cutting out the surround and putting a shower stall in place, and want to use SCC to do the walls, just like this. It's an alcove shower, so I think it'll be easier because I won't have to worry about glass walls.
I really enjoyed this video, very informative & easy to comprehend 👍🏻 I’d definitely be interested in more videos like this. I’d also like to see a video on how you price a job!
I wonder what fun games could be created with the round disks Kenny pulls out from the walls for the shower controls!! 😉 Huge checker sets like from Cracker Barrel? It is always awesome to watch this team at work!! 💖
I love all these videos that Stone Coat Countertops company puts out, I am wondering where has might been for a while I haven't seen him in some of the videos?
Hey there. Yes, torching is used to remove the bubbles and we actually did a little in the full length video. Because this was a melded marble technique where we used more product per square foot and it’s being used as a shower panel, an additional flood coat isn’t necessary. If I used a technique with spray paint, I would apply a flood coat.
@RK3 Designs Absorbing everything I can before I attempt a new shower install in a few months, I want to make sure I'm down with the details. Thanks for the clarification 👍🏼
More please! I am going to do my shower walls soon. I love the colors you used here. I am afraid of the white yellowing. Is that a concern? My shower doesn't have a light in it and is out of the sunlight. I thought I had to go with darker colors....browns and blacks.
what are you putting on the walls behind the foam board? adhesive? subwalls ? ty have you done this in a tiny house ? I am thinking i would like to try this in my tiny house ty deb
I'm in the process of fabricating a large format suken cement soaking tub.(6ft x 5ft x 3.5ft deep) I'd like to use your materials to coat and enhance the look of the tub. Would your product withstand constant water..?? Would I need to seal the concrete first..?? Any information would be appreciated. Thank you
We need window sills that are 14 1/2" wide and 9'+ feet long (We have an ICF house). I was going to use MDF to make them. After seeing this, I am wondering if the foam would hold up. Any comments on that? The foam would be so much cheaper and easier to use. Thank you Stone Coat for the great ideas and great videos!
After 8 months I hope you found a solution, but if you're like me.... it may still be on the to do list. I built an ICF house a few years ago and we did MDF sills. we laminated 2 layers so that we wouldn't have a seam, then coated with SCC It looked amazing. It didn't occur to us to try the foam. Now in a new house, I'm about to finish a shower surround and wouldn't think twice about using the foam for window sills. My only concern would be the front lip compressing if a kiddo tried to sit in the sill
So I see it’s still installed onto a backer board with the niche being the same… that’s pretty sweet bc a tile shower of that size would be $3k-$6k depending on where you are and how fancy it is I’m guessing this is slightly cheaper and much quicker to do ?
@@christopherbowman2435 if you have the time and money to waste for fun the epoxy is a fun thing to do but if it’s something you just need to get done go for the tile route, since you have family help assuming you guys know what to do you can get right in, get out and be done but with epoxy you might have to toy around with it getting the mix and color you want
@@christopherbowman2435at 9:30 , ain’t no way I’m glueing it that way tho lol, I. Using half inch trial (when smushed down it becomes 1/4 notch of whatever adhesive you’re using) bc I wouldnt trust those blobs alone bc I have had to repair tile jobs where ppl didn’t use a trial and used blobs however they may have never had issues with doing blobs on epoxy but for me just for extra security I’d use a trial for the silicone lol
I am planning to use a dresser for my bathroom vanity. I know the top needs to be reinforced and I want to use StoneCoat Countertop epoxy and resin. Will it work?
Yes as well as countertop fabrication and so much more. Check out our website FMI and don’t hesitate to reach out if you have any questions. rk3designs.com/pro-class-workshop/
I would like to do this in my shower but my shower is 5 ft wide by 62 inches high. So I would have to make one sheet 48in another sheet 12in to get the 60in. So how would I make that one panel and make it look like one panel only with no seam showing? By the way I'm sorry but haven't seen all your videos. But what has happened to Mike??? Thank You.
TLDR: I wanna make a floating desk, can I epoxy a 4X8 of MDF, OSB, or plywood and make a desktop out of it, or does that sound like a terrible idea? I was thinking of using a half inch thick sheet of 4X8 plywood plus a lot of L brackets for strength, and then a 1/8th inch veneer for looks. Then I remembered the neat stuff you do here with countertops and wondered if that'd work for what I'm doing instead of the veneer. Black with some copper stripes/streaks/lightning bolts would be really cool. How much would it cost though? I don't know the exact dimensions yet, but 30X90 inches seems about right.
All materials to get this job done are available via ala carte; undercoat, quick coat, the fiberglass mesh, art coat - www.stonecoatcountertops.com/epoxy-countertop-designs
Check out our full length video. We don’t install the shower pans, the home owner had a premade shower pan installed prior to us installing the walls. ruclips.net/video/7Xp1MhUg6TI/видео.html
Not a fan of that look. I just looks like someone smeared random colors everywhere on it. Very unnatural looking. That shower nook should have been done as one piece. There are way to many places for water to get in around it.
Love this!! Can you please show the prep of the wall prior to the installation of the epoxy walls?

This is fabulous folks with mobile homes RVs & camps
Love to see a dresser flipped to a vanity using StoneCoat Countertop for the top.
That's is beautiful, the wisps of blue really give it depth
It's very nice to see this much but - why no final reveal to show us how beautiful the whole project ended up?
That is my favorite color for this epoxy wall idea.

Yes I think they should have done all the walls. A more dramatic look as oppose to a little shower in the corner..
I would love to see more like this so I can try to do mine!

Loved this video. I saved it and watch it over and over. Memorizing so I can do my 7x 4 ‘ shower.
Could you do a video getting into the nitty gritty on how to make the shower niche?
I'd like to see you guys do something with one of the old school concrete utility 2 sided sinks.
Did you prime the board before pouring the epoxy on?

Question... Is this material a good solution for an RV that is unheated through the extreme cold of a northern Minnesota winter?
How do you make a rim around a sheet of polystyrene so that the resin does not drain?
how can you make panels where the design can aligned perfectly and can be put back together in the bathroom (to get it through the doorway)
I love that shower
Great content

I’m also curious about the cost vs tile. I have family that can help me to DIY tile, which saves some money but this might still be a better option

What type of Formboard is this or any type ?
Is mold forming under the Styrofoam sheet?
Is the Ultimate Top Coat used for shower panels or is there no need?
Where can I learn the full process
Is this taught in your week-long contractor class from start to finish?
In the pro class it is also taught to our knowledge. Great question for @RK3Designs

What are you pouring on? White ??? sheet of ???
Would be nice to find 1/2 inch foam in the NW US region. Nowhere in WA OR ID UT. Went to BC on another errand and got 10 sheets.

Hi how much does this project cost in total?
You don’t happen to be in the Salem area….. are you?
yes very interesting
Great .....
awesome
Doesn’t that increase the cost from $10 sq foot to $30 a sq foot?
When will it be back in stock?

Where I'd your safety equipment lordy you should know better love 💘the product
You guys completely skipped the prep steps in both the live and this video regarding shower walls. How to lay down the Fiberglass mesh etc.
Is Kenny using a Texas drawl? Its hard to understand what those illustrated comments mean. 😂

too many issues... flex.... they cant get the measurements right... I guess we'll do tile lol
Do not buy this product.. seriously you will regret
Why do you not recommend this? Would love to hear your thoughts!
This was all done on styrofoam?
How do value your labor\materials vs $300 panels .... Only you know what easier and cheaper 🫣🤣
@Oleg K were you saying that regular 4 by 8 shower panels pre made and finished cost $300?
