Austin is one of my favourite people on game theory. He mixes up the content a bit so its not only Matpat doing it. I checked out the other videoes that Austin made and they got from 4k-2k dislikes rather than the 1k-2k normal dislike ratio which makes me confused. Many people dont know that Matpat is still writing and approving of the script that Austin reads and I dont get why they are upset.
Yea we need more people to narrate the theories. Matt is still awesome, but I love Austin's humor.

Austin is literally the most entertaining element I've seen in current GT with his rampant tangents about how something makes no sense in a video game. Hard to believe anyone would consider his presence there an oopsie.
Honestly I completely agree.
What makes his videos good is that he goes on random tangents, and plays up the confusion/anger for the show.
Imo how he presents himself on GT just makes it seem like he has a lot of fun going through the script
And even if you don't like his content, (like me,) him being there isn't a bad thing.

now thing is, austins series also known as "The Science:" has existed for ages ya know? you can find them easily by the title colour! green is matpat and blue would be austin.
I don't know about you but I watch game theory for matpats I mostly avoid Austin's video I just don't get the same vibe with Austin it just seems a bit boring on his side in my opinion

Austin’s videos are more focused on the science and physics side of the games, which makes the videos different to the majority of lore or theory videos that Matt does. Personally I enjoy the outlandish numbers that are found on Austin’s videos as well as the theory videos that Mattpat does too. All in my opinion though

I personally don't watch his "SCIENCE of" series, simply because it's not my preference, but Austin is an awesome person (the entire GT crew is awesome) and doesn't deserve the hate he gets. You don't need to dislike the person just because you don't like his/her content
Honestly, people are just making drama about Matpat because he’s a large youtuber yet has very little drama surrounding him and has a happy life, so people are jealous and angry about that.

I would also like to mention that it’s very clearly telegraphed which videos are who’s, MatPat’s titles are green, Austin’s are cyan. So if someone doesn’t like Austin they can very easily just skip the videos with cyan text in the thumbnail, also those with “the science of…” in the title. And if someone isn’t familiar enough with the channel to know that, it doesn’t make sense for them to be upset because they’re so new that they don’t have this sense of “loyalty” and attachment to MatPat. It does seem to me like Austin’s videos became more sparse lately so maybe people who started watching recently and were only watching the newest uploads might’ve been caught by surprise. Still doesn’t excuse the behavior though.

Man I’ve always loved Austin’s videos, that “dear Nintendo- it’s me- AUSTIN-“ is my whole childhood and I feel like I owe so much to Austin and the whole game theorists team. The channel is called game theorists, and not game theorist for a reason. Appreciate everyone, or just don’t say anything.

The thing is a used to really enjoy Austin's content when it was on a different channel. His presentation used to be more manic mad scientist with swearing and intense breakdowns. But now he's kind of been toned down for Game Theory

Dude, I love guest stars on different RUclips channels. It allows you to see a different, potentially even funnier dynamic then what the channel has normally, and maybe even find a new favorite youtuber. Sometimes a youtuber will have like a guest on it and have them featured multiple times, that I always look forward to when they appear as a guest again.

I won’t lie, I sometimes have to rewatch the video because I’m just distracted by the parkour until the end.
What doesn't make sense to me is the fact that Game Theory fans would dislike videos where MatPat isn't in them. Considering the fact that Game Theory used to have dozens of videos that had other creators. Of course MatPat and Austin were there, but also those who left, Gajiin Goomba, FootofaFerret, Ronnie, and the two who ran Video Game Crossover.

Austin's appearance is even clearly designated in the title! He only appears in his own series, "The SCIENCE", which always appears at the end of a the title of an episode of it.

I love Austen and I even miss Gaijin Gumba on GT sometimes. They gave a different vibe with MatPat which helps in preventing the channel on becoming monotonous. I know GG broke off and has his own channel now, I still watch him there but sometimes I miss him covering Cultural References on Games.
The Game Theorists channel has had numerous hosts over the years who aren't MatPat. I remember Digressing & Sidequesting with Ronnies, Culture Shock with Gaijin Goomba, A Brief history with FootofaFerret, and Crossover starting Drake McWhorter and Kenny Landefeld. Plus more that I can't think of at the moment. Austin has been consistently producing episodes for The Game Theorists channel for years, so it's not like it's something new

Austin's segments are always a lot of fun and I watch like 95% of his videos on the channel while usually like 60% of MatPats in comparison.

I mean Austin's guest appearance is one of many. It's not even a guest appearance, it's a series of his on the channel.
I used to watch Austin on shoddy cast and loved it. One day I was like "oh hey, a new game theory" and then clicked expecting matpat. But instead I got deja vu of two familiar clicks... needless to say I was extremely confused as well as quite happy. If you dont like someone because its not what you were expecting, I find opening your mind and accepting that you may like someone can allow you to like something.

I stared watching game theory for MatPat. I fuckin’ STAYED for Austin.
He McFuckin’ deserves a place in the theorist family, he deserves spotlight, and opportunity, and all the support in the world. Fucking love Austin, man.
Game Theory has always had multiple smaller channels on them, not just a team. It has always been a sorta collaboration ground for people who do game to RL analysis.
From my shit memory I can already name quite a few that eventually were phased out, digressing and side questing (RIP Ronnie, you will be missed), crossover with drake, deadlock (sure matt was the main host but it's an entire series based on Collabs), game exchange (I forget the title, gaijins series), footofaferret also used to be featured with his brief history series for a bit but never as a permanent fixture of the channel.
So the fact that ppl just somehow hate that austin and his the science of series just for existing on the channel is just jarring to me, like sure those old extra shows weren't as popular but they prove that the channel has always been trying to help smaller creators in this way so I find it stupid that ppl would hate him so much
I haven't been a major fan of matts work ever since the fnaf videos became a like, monthly to bimonthly thing but at this point it's very apparent that a lot of these people either never watched his videos or are so new that they have no history with the channel whatsoever and blissfully ignored the fact that the channel is called Game THEORISTS and not just Game Theory.

Austin isn't a guest really. The Science used to be a big show featured on Game Theory. Austin just hasn't been making them as often and pulled away from Game Theory to do his own things as the other channels took off. He has a personality that can rub people the wrong way sometimes but his videos are fascinating and worth checking out.

For me game theory has two shows one about the lore (Matpat) and another about the science (Austin). Both use science and logic but the reasons are different.
His show in game theory goes back to 4 years and more years before game theory so for me his show “The Science Of …” which has cyan text instead of Matpat’s game theory green text on the thumbnail is just another great video.
