I realize it’s technically authentic, but I’ve never cared for the stamped rattling dust cover on my AK. Although I’ve never had an issue with it I’ve never been happy with my my side optic mount either. It just seemed to ruin the lines of the rifle. I recently ordered the dog leg and wished I had come across it years ago. There have been a number of bad reviews claiming that it doesn’t hold zero, but it’s fairly clear that they likely did not properly install the part. I’ve watched multiple install videos and I haven’t seen a single one where they took advantage of all the adjustments you demonstrated in your install video available on the TWS site. Upon hearing I had ordered the dog leg, my son was adamantly in the camp of “it won’t hold zero”. After carefully following your install instructions I mounted my LPVO, went to the range and zeroed my rifle. I then flipped the cover up, down, up and down and it held zero. I removed and replaced the cover. It held zero. I removed, replaced and flipped the cover up and down several times and it held zero. I proved my son wrong. If someone’s rifle is not holding zero after installing the dog leg then I feel it’s likely they didn’t properly install it, didn’t make the necessary minute adjustments or may literally have purchased the wrong part for their firearm. To repeat myself, I wish I had come across the TWS dog leg years ago.
I have to say, I've known about the TWS Dog Leg system for a while now, but just stumbled across this video now. As someone who works in manufacturing (went to school for machining, switched my degree to CAD drafting for mechanical purposes), I always love seeing manufacturers break down their products in a technical fashion like this. Excellent video!
This video was pretty technical .... and I loved it!! Being a technician, I like to know how and why things work. "We did this, this, and this, and the result is THIS" is so much better than "It fits because we made it to fit." 😖 More information is always better. 😊 I also understand tolerances. Anywhere from plus or minus "room to swing a dead cat" down to what we call "jet engine" tolerances - millionths of an inch. I also like supporting a Texas business, rather than what my brother calls "a division of multinationalmegacorpinc." 😂
Glad i found this video. Ive been hoping the split in the hinge bar was adjustable but didnt want to spread it and find out i just ruined it. Finally got all the wobble out of my gen 3. Hopefully gen 4 is a zenitco style "chassis" system with the cantilever. That way Americans would have another option outside the Midwest Alpha kit.
I was so enthralled with the concept of the TWS. To me it seemed the most flush and natural solution to have the rail system along the length of the rifle. I bought 1 for my M92 PAP and my milled AKM. Please upload instructional videos for the TWD dog leg and the handguard system.
Seeing the popularity of the Galil ARM/SAR platform, it’ll really nice if TX Weapons System also comes up with a railed dust cover for it. I’m sure it will be a sure hit with Galil aficionados.
Bought this dust cover for my Pioneer Polish Radom. (Yea, I know, cheap rifle. I've owned a Yugo in the past) Even though the compatibility matrix on the TWS website says the model I bought will fit, (33310), It's clearly too short and doesn't even come close to engaging the radius on the rear sight block, and is not even close to hitting the rear of the receiver. I've made all of the possible adjustments. Any feedback on this rifle?
Will this fit a pioneer arms hellpup 5.56? Nevermind i checked the compatability matrix. Thank you for the video and information at the end. I will be ordering one very soon.
Be careful. My rifle was also on that matrix and it doesn't come close to fitting. They will not let you return it after you find this out. I also have a Pioneer Arms AK...
Your dust cover rail keeps causing my M90 Zastava bolt to lock up in the rear of the rifle. (This is preowned rifle and it functions with the dust cover removed)
These are absolutely LPVO capable. we run low, led and high power optics on our rifles regularly. We even have a VEPR in 7.62x54r that routinely gets 10-20x scopes
if it's a standard length receiver with standard rear sight block placement, then 33310 should work. if It's not standard, you'll have to give us a call to check compatibility. The support tech will likely have you take some measurements of your rifle.
Very good product and I have two of them. But I have issue with one because they sent me a wrong part and they won’t reply when I contact them. Bad customer service
Howdy, I'm sorry you're having trouble contacting us. I reached out to our support department and they asked me to please make sure our email address is spelled correctly when contacting us. It is very common for people to use Weapons(plural) instead of the correct Weapon(singular) when writing to us. I've also gone ahead and updated the contact information in the about section of this page, please feel free to reach out to us there and we'll get this resolved for you as quickly as possible.
@@texasweaponsystems Heck yeah this comment is the deciding factor I also was worried about holding zero with heavier optic but soon I will be getting a dog leg for My M90
Removing the dust cover mid range and putting it back on holding zero is my favorite party trick at the range

My dog leg came in today for my Zastava m90 and I'm like you the side rail just killed the look of the rifle!
Thank you for doing this video. I have the TWS system on two of my rifles and it holds zero with ease. Great product. Thanks again.
i absolutely adore you guy's as a company. never let the government take you guy's down. you are awesome!

Got one on my Yugo underfolder. Rock solid. Thanks TWS!!!

Great informative video

These videos are coming in the near future!
I was skeptical when I bought mine. I have an Eotech with a magnifier, and it holds zero everytime 5:24 5:29 5:30

I’ve been with TWS since they had gen 1 rails.
Please make some videos featuring those beautiful brown and black DMR AKs!

I will send this video to cokeman, only he can truly convince me to purchase your product after extensive real world heavy-duty use.

What one will fit a vska
Can you show us a video about the stock? This was very informative
They just dropped one: ruclips.net/video/Yo23VxDRWxc/видео.html

Which one do i order for zastava m70?
Are you telling me you don't start with an extrusion?? That's a lot of chips.
Would you guys say these are LPVO capable, as well? Considering picking up a LPVO on my AK with dog leg :)

How does this work on the Saiga 12 and ks12?
Is it fits for KP-9?
Can someone help me? Can i use it on the Saiga MKK106 - 308?
Not sure what MKK106 means, but I have a 10-12 year old Saiga .308 with a TWS on it. Part number 33310 if that helps.

Do you guys want a foreign demonstrator?
Still 100% american supporting Texans
zero is ez with this setup no slop...

Saben como vender jajajaja
Do you make rails for wasr 10?
According to the compatibility matrix: WASR10 (10-63) = PN 33310.
yes, PN 33310 fits the WASR-10
Will your dog leg dust cover work on a Norinco AK-47? Cost?
will they fit Type 81 ?
