I once wrote a fanfiction. Basically there was a girl, Kaiya En, who couldnt feel emotion, yet somehow had massive potential. She wished to rewrite reality in such a way that every magical girl suffers, basically becoming the antigod to Madokas god. She also made QB emotionless just like her, so she could use him in much the same way Madoka uses those she saved; as both companions and servants. Madoka partially undid her wish when she became the law of cycles, so Kaiya had to start fighting back to regain control. Rebellion was part of that conflict; The Mitakihara we see wasn't from how Homura saw Mitakihara, but rather a memory of how Kaiya had viewed it before becoming a magical girl. This had two purposes for Kaiya: The first was to mock Madoka for being inable to undo her wish completely, but the second was to tip off Homura to the fact something was wrong with the world they were in. Kaiya had sent the incubators for Madoka, knowing they would fail, but that both Madoka and Homura would fall into her trap; that Homura would steal away Madoka from the law of cycles. Without Madoka, it was far easier to spread despair, as the law wasnt as strong without Madoka to reinforce it. Thats about as far as I wrote so far, but the concept of it having BEEN a perfect world actually was heavily inspired by Rebellion...
I like that most of the songs in this movie mix in Homulilly's theme into it. Except for this one. But still, it's nice to know that they literally foreshadow everything in this series, whether it be in transformations, music, backrounds, pretty much anything.
Yeah me too, it looks so much more beautiful and haunting. The slight style change might have been due to storyboard artists, since all of them will have their own style so the animation would look a bit different depending on who drew the storyboards.
+AngelCanine I thought I was the only one who noticed that for the longest time. And considering Kyuubey's true intentions for magical girls that's revealed in this movie that's very fitting. Some nice subtle foreshadowing there.
Nice. :) The differences basically are in the tittles. You know they are both called 'Doubt', but they have been given alternative titles. 'Doubt' is also known as 'faceless' and 'alone'. 'Doubt #2' is also known as 'faceless' and 'tea'. Also, to specify, the differences are in the instruments. Doubt (piano, vib., perc.) Doubt #2 (strings, vib., perc.) Last, but not least, the difference of the instruments causes both OSTs to last different. The second one lasts longer. And that, makes some changes in the notes. Just to let you know. :)
What genre is this, are there any more songs like this that don't come from Madoka? Don't get me wrong, I love the show, it's my "depression anime", I like to watch it when I'm sad.
This Homura is absolutely adorable. At this art, she looks as if Madoka Magica was animated by Kyoto Animation. In fact, there is already Madoka Magica animated by Kyoto Animation employees - it is called Black Rock Shooter and it is very obscure and inaccessible show that in many ways makes Madoka Magica look like a child's play.
@@PuellaMagiHomuraAkemi you know just because it only shows a handful of the timelines doesn't mean that's all of them she's not a kid at least not anymore
that gentle illusion was so sweet, for me this was the true reality, not the brutality one that we were used to

Very old comment, but it’s all a Leitmotif of Mada Dame Yo, the song that plays at the beginning of the movie when they are fighting the nightmare
I like this art style
I find it strikingly different to the "wide face" style of the original series

I think wide face is better, it's my favorite thing about Ume's character designs. It's adorable 💖💜💛💙❤
The more proportioned face also makes her look older
They’re both so good
@@Addy-to6mp It makes her look her actual age instead of some ambiguously young blob.

For some reason this track makes me feel a bit nostalgic.
feels like a lucid dream from early childhood. waking up at 4 or 5 am and everythings quiet and weird.
There's bits of Sis Puella Magica in this toward the end!
+AngelCanine I thought I was the only one who noticed that for the longest time. And considering Kyuubey's true intentions for magical girls that's revealed in this movie that's very fitting. Some nice subtle foreshadowing there.
Homu Chan looks so innocent in that picture.
Like she used to be
she looks less innocent and more like she's realizing that she isn't in fact as innocent as she seemed to be.
“Moju moju, Bebe Cobo?”
(Homura, why you ask?”
I'm remembering the people with melted faces... uugh *shudders*
The chimes remind me of my grandmother's wind chimes at her house. Now I'm sad. I miss her.
Just want to say I’m sorry for your loss, and I hope you’re feeling better

Chamasofull I know most of the differences but I didn't know their alternative titles. Thanks for telling me :)
Leon Lai No problem. :)
Chamasofull t hanks, i prefer the second one ☺

'Doubt #2' is also known as 'faceless' and 'tea'.
Homura: *can tell Kyuubey is behind this somehow; sips tea*
The baseline melody is also played faster in doubt #2. Doubt #1 has some longer pauses between it's repeats and is a bit more lazy in it's speed
I love how introspective this theme is.
Lovely Homura…
Different from before.
Lovely Homura
Just once more please!

Bright Red from Rozen Maiden
Classical, I believe. Yuki Kajiura has done other genres of music like this such as ethic and new age.

Now it's 468:0, glad that one person changed their mind lol
527:0 as of April 19, 2019... :) ofc.. no one can dislike the innocent face of homura staring right at your soul
