Only fished there once in the 80's . Walked over grass and climbed down. Using bead breakaways with the wires hanging. Theory is they go between rocks and spring out - which worked - never lost a lead. I still have the mould for the surfbomb leads you're using! Probably the last time I caught codling and I wasn't casting far. High tide at night time. Duing daylight I saw a sea lion watching me . Great video, must get down that way before I'm 70. By the way lead LIFTERS work well there.
Nice 1 bren. The same goes put for around 70 yards then it's a sheer drop of as that's the main shipping channel. Dont need rotten bottom.rigs for that mark over high tide, low water defo rotten bottom. Next time you wanna fish there give me a shout and il link up and show you boys how and when
Hi Geezer, great film keep it up. Would you give Chris my regards we fished together a couple of days later at the MOD. Good to see him perform. The Brummie
Yes but you have to remember the tide comes in fast and 8 ounces of lead are needed to hold bottom. I use 60lb spectra braid on multis when fishing there.
I do not live local to the area. So what my mate and I do when fishing the BC is to fish 2 marks. Its usually Minehead for 4 hours over low then move to Battery over high. My mate swears by using flat leads there with big lug baits for Cod

Thanks Scott, yes like nemisisslr said watch the tide, after speaking to some locals that mark generally fished better up and over high.
