We all know where these elevators are located, but due to the fact that I was given authorized access to this very secure building, I am not saying the location in the title/description.
To the person who gave me authorized access into this building, I have to give a huge thanks to them!
These elevators, despite being located in what is America's TALLEST & Most Prestigious Building, are honestly kind of generic. At least in terms of the fixtures and cabs, they definitely could be fancier IMO. That all being said, these elevators are by no means ugly, they're still decently nice, and what these elevators lack in looks, they make up for in SPEED! The Elevators here are INCREDIBLY FAST, especially the "G Bank" that goes from the Street Level to the SkyLobby which goes up to a top speed of 1800 FPM!!! There are also 2 other banks of elevators in this building that go 1800 FPM, but out of respect for the person who took me inside here, I didn't film those. The SkyLobby Express Elevators here are a TON of fun to ride, although interestingly enough, despite the fact they go 1800 FPM, they don't really FEEL it! Unlike many High Rise Elevators where you really feel the acceleration and deceleration when traveling, on these, all you feel is a gentle pressure! That doesn't make these boring by any means though, and if anything, that is a real testament to Thyssenkrupp's engineering when these elevators were installed.
In addition to the SkyLobby Elevators, we also ride the High Rise Elevators (the I Bank) that go from the SkyLobby to 90, which are the Highest Rising Elevators in the building outside of the Service & Observatory Elevators here (Note that 91-99 are mechanical levels). These elevators only go 800 FPM, which while not anywhere NEAR as impressive as the SkyLobby Elevators is still very respectable for the amount of floors this Bank serves. These elevators also have a VERY LOUD Handicap voice on the 90th floor DD panel that is almost ear piercing lol...
All in all, these elevators are Very Impressive feats of engineering located in America's TALLEST building that while not the fanciest are definitely among the fastest and most powerful elevators I've EVER been on! However, as fast and as incredible as these elevators may be, they aren't anywhere NEARLY as INCREDIBLE as the Observatory Elevators here!
I'll save those for another video coming up later this year..... But in the meantime though, enjoy some rides on the Secured OFFICE Elevators, specifically the Highest Rising Banks from both the Street Level & the SkyLobby in North America's TALLEST building that only a select few people have gotten to see!
    Installed in 2014.

What are the other 2 banks that go 1800 fpm? Do only serve the sky lobby or do they go higher than that?

🤯 AWESOME. Whatever it was that got you here was the coolest guy around.

Interesting. I believe that the office floor elevators would look like the low-rise ones that are at the Observatory entrance, without the virtual timeline cab.

I'd argue that TKE's newer traction installs have sharper acceleration than their older ones that still ran like dovers

The Older Dover Tractions from the 70s-early 90s had VERY sharp acceleration, but TKs newer 2010s and later Tractions are still incredible from an engineering perspective. And even though you may only feel a gentle pressure on these when going up or down, considering the SkyLobby bank goes 1800 FPM, that's impressive!

@@FloridianElevatorscurious did they make you go through what is basically TSA like they do in the observatory? I noticed by the E bank there were a bunch of metal detectors and X-ray stuff. E bank feels the exact same as the F bank ngl
