The massive money and audience that MTV had propelled music video budgets into the millions if you watch a video like Michael Jackson and Janet Jackson's "Scream" that shit costed like 50 million dollars. Nowadays bands DO NOT have more than maybe 20 thousand to spend on a video.

This song reminds me so much when I was locked up in the psychiatric center, I felt like I was going insane.. I was suicidal at that time, Korn has been a huge impact on my life.
The short song following this one on the album has always stuck out in my head over the years. I'm not even mad that I constantly sing to myself (all I want in life is to be happy) I think all of us want that for ourselves and others.
Also it was around this time that his wrist injury started affecting his involvement in the group. I remember hearing David's wrist was gonna make him stop drumming , and it broke my world.
It's comforting know. Just don't let it touch you too deeply; it didn't help listening to Korn while being an angsty little snot-nosed punk of a teenager 15 years ago. :D
Still one of my Faves. Back when MTV played EVERYTHING and introduced you to artists across genres. I’m 31 and I think my generation is the last that got to enjoy this. They’d play Hoobastank and followup with Biggie or WuTang lol BEAUTIFUL
I remember when I was a kid, I've heard this track for the first time, now I'm 31 and it still gives me the same feeling. That chorus drum line combined with the slap bass is just out of this world, it's the one that gives this song something that you can't put your finger to
20 years later, and I still feeling the same energy that I felt when I heard this song for the first time. We can't turn back time, but these songs always made me remain every little thing of my teenage, and I'm so thankful to live these times, and can hear Korn today.
I gotta give my props to the bass player, without him Korn wouldnt have that iconic Korn/Bass sound..been a fan since 9 but didnt relize till later,he was the backbone to their style
Fieldy has always been amazing but they all contribute so much in there own ways been a korn fan since the first album dropped and was hooked every since
My cousin is a Navy SEAL Team SIX/DEVGRU operator and he told me that almost every night him and his teammates would listen to koRn while jocking up for every mission and getting on the black hawks and 47 Chinooks, as well as when they cross-trained with Delta Force in what they call their "kill house" or "shoot house". Great job, koRn. Your music inspired the most badass, elite guys on this entire planet. You should be proud. Take a bow.
I never paid attention to korn and I listened to a lot of metal. I’ve begun writing riffs in A tuning and heard about them through it. What an emotion! They can deliver.
If you like Korn, Slipknot, Mudvayne, Static X, Rob Zombie, check us out! We just put out a new single/video called "Neurostatic". Let us know what you think in the comments!
fieldy's bass playing is sooo important to this sound. its active and heavy. he is playing it like a guitar. also mixing allows the bass to be there. great!
He also gets a lot of camera in the A.D.I.D.A.S. video, while Head usually doesn't that much camera on Korn videos, there are some exceptions though but generally speaking
« Ce n'est pas le fait de me sentir fou qui me dérange. C'est le fait de me sentir normal dans cette folie alentour. » I let you translate it from the Français if you want. :) Cheers !
KoЯn were about 6 years into their career at this point and were truly the leaders of this genre we now refer to as nu metal. They helped to inspire great bands like Sevendust, Flaw, Slaves On Dope, SlipKnot, Mudvayne, 40 Below Summer, Limp Bizkit, Coal Chamber, and SO many more! Korn are immortal, you just can't f*ck with them!
@@t2av159 No, Slipknot and CC were inspired by Korn and Korn was out before them...Korn technically started in the late 1980s under the band name L.A.P.D. Korns first CD came out in 1993 way before CC and Slipknot.
For me, the thrill was seeing Tatjana Patitz, Brigitte Nielsen, and a glimpse of Shannyn Sossamon. (especially Tatjana, as a girl I had her pictures on my wall along with the other supermodels of the 80's). Thank you Korn.
11, just discovered Korn earlier this year because of my older sister. just started actually listening recently and I couldn’t be happier, they sound absolutely sick
I've had the pleasure of standing (moshing) front row during a Korn concert and they never disappointed me! Korn is the greatest group of my lifetime. Their music never stops making me want to jump around no matter how old I am!

Fieldy's bass riff during the verses is absolutely amazing.
I love his style of slap playing, it sounds so good. His riff in Got the Life is also pretty spectacular.
It's more of his approach to producing the bass sound rather than playing technique/style.

Many comments say that Korn made them feel well about being "crazy" or "anxious". I'd say that Korn were promoting to be yourself, including feelings.

@@mrconfusion87 the one with the spiky hair is Brigitte Nielsen
This song reminds me so much when I was locked up in the psychiatric center, I felt like I was going insane.. I was suicidal at that time, Korn has been a huge impact on my life.
Same fucking here. I got committed back in 2012. I had "Lets Get This Party Started" and "Wake Up" stuck in my head my entire stay.
good loco!!!
@@HeR3tOSt4Y and what song you sing now???
@@CarloSilva-if6ku Call me stupid, but I don't follow what you're asking.

Ufff amo este tema. Recuerdo que me la pasaba esperando este vídeo en la MTV (cuando era buena)... Hace 20 años...
The short song following this one on the album has always stuck out in my head over the years. I'm not even mad that I constantly sing to myself (all I want in life is to be happy)
I think all of us want that for ourselves and others.
The sick run of the riffs and the drums made this my favorite Korn song ever.
Watching KoRn's drummer suffer at 2:30 made me feel sad even though it was just acting . He really knows how to perform .
Same
Also it was around this time that his wrist injury started affecting his involvement in the group.
I remember hearing David's wrist was gonna make him stop drumming , and it broke my world.
I love the dark atmosphere of this song. The way Davis sing "though it would be fun and games" gets me every time. It's my favorite Korn song.
right now i'm exploring nu-metal of the 1990s / 2000s and I wish I were a Teenager in that time
You're Not alone
I grew up in that era im 28 now we had the best nu metal the best hip hop it was amazing so many great concerts too
It's comforting know. Just don't let it touch you too deeply; it didn't help listening to Korn while being an angsty little snot-nosed punk of a teenager 15 years ago. :D
Listening to and being a fan of Korn when they first came out and when they were in their heyday was absolutely magical.
Miss when everyone would play them on a boombox at the skate park
Korn is the nu-metal equivalent of Queen IMO. Their catalog and variety is unmatched...

@@Ovie_1nah Korn is better
Still one of my
Faves. Back when MTV played EVERYTHING and introduced you to artists across genres. I’m 31 and I think my generation is the last that got to enjoy this. They’d play Hoobastank and followup with Biggie or WuTang lol BEAUTIFUL
2020 and I continue listening that good shit
You kinda have to since no real music has been written in the past ten years or so.
Bump
2021
whoever said Korn "Was" great is Dumb they are great and will always be gods to me they changed my life I been listening them for over a decade now
Benjamin Blood 😁
LMAO
I mean, that's a little obsessive and creepy, Stan, but you do you.
Same here, bug i have been listening them for 20 year, omg im old
Still haven’t heard ANYTHING like this to this day.
I remember when I was a kid, I've heard this track for the first time, now I'm 31 and it still gives me the same feeling. That chorus drum line combined with the slap bass is just out of this world, it's the one that gives this song something that you can't put your finger to
Awesome voice.... impressive
Great band....
Great song

20 years later, and I still feeling the same energy that I felt when I heard this song for the first time. We can't turn back time, but these songs always made me remain every little thing of my teenage, and I'm so thankful to live these times, and can hear Korn today.
Goosebumps
Ive listen to this song almost 50 thousand TIMES
Best song in the album by far imo
If this were a movie, I'd totally watch it

It totally had potential.

...38 isnt old lol
I gotta give my props to the bass player, without him Korn wouldnt have that iconic Korn/Bass sound..been a fan since 9 but didnt relize till later,he was the backbone to their style

Fieldy has always been amazing but they all contribute so much in there own ways been a korn fan since the first album dropped and was hooked every since
Damn listening through their stuff such good harmonies no surprise they were huge. Loved all these songs still do.
2021 and still in awe of this band!!!!
This, Twisted Transistor, Somebody Someone and Evolution are the best videos of KoRn
Nah b, all the songs from the first two albums r better than twisted transistor in my opinion.
That's true, but i mean the video, i think the video (like Alone I Break) is great, but i don't like the song
+Spoken World oh, in that case, yeah I agree i like the adidas vid too
+Spoken World Emm...four words for you, buddy: Freak On A Leash.
+Spoken World Thats all newish shit, ever seen the freak on a leash video? Here to stay?
My cousin is a Navy SEAL Team SIX/DEVGRU operator and he told me that almost every night him and his teammates would listen to koRn while jocking up for every mission and getting on the black hawks and 47 Chinooks, as well as when they cross-trained with Delta Force in what they call their "kill house" or "shoot house".
Great job, koRn. Your music inspired the most badass, elite guys on this entire planet. You should be proud. Take a bow.
Issues defined an entire generation.
It really did.
Absolutely
Defined my life
Yeah all of them since 2006
@@hellhead4747 Issues came out in ‘99...Plus ‘06 sucked major ass...
Man If I didn't have music like KoRn, NIN, Marilyn Manson, and Radiohead growing up... I wouldn't be here.
Sameeeeee and incubus to the list because that’s what I heard growing up and tool and deftones
And a perfect circle for me
And Tool
Radiohead tho
@@brianawest._ Hell yea, can't forget Incubus! I grew up listening to them and still do, was just listening to them earlier today :)
So nostalgic! It's like I'm in my teenage years again.
KoRn immediately brings me back to my childhood. All that adult stress takes a break for about 5 minutes listening to this.
Been listening to korn since 95'. Was 10 years old and had no idea the next 10 years would have been so crazy full of great bands! 🤘
I remember that time 5 long years of playstation/puberty/pornography
Me too dude!
This song is totally 🔥🔥🔥
fieldy's bass playing is sooo important to this sound. its active and heavy. he is playing it like a guitar. also mixing allows the bass to be there. great!
😊😮😮😅
😊 3:03 😅😅
Se agradece que estos videos estén en HD, muchas muchas gracias
Korn music will never die!!!
una banda increíble estos jamás pasaran de moda !!!
Jon and Davids acting skills in this video is Oscar worthy
Dont forget Head at 3:49

Same
best...and worst... 95.....

someone noticed that Silveria was the best actor?
Oh my god yes
He also gets a lot of camera in the A.D.I.D.A.S. video, while Head usually doesn't that much camera on Korn videos, there are some exceptions though but generally speaking
Drummers are better at EVERYTHING.
just sayin
Impressive.
Hottest too
Love how to the drums are made more simple in the final outro chorus
Adds a massive amount of heaviness
Amazing production/writing
Korn always made me feel like it was okay to be slightly crazy...
IT IS OK TO BE CRAZY
Crazy means not boring
The name of the song at the end of the video pls!!!

I let you translate it from the Français if you want.
Korn are immortal, you just can't f*ck with them!
a few of those around were around the same time as Korn came on the scene, such as slipknot, and coal chamber was before Korn
@@t2av159 No, Slipknot and CC were inspired by Korn and Korn was out before them...Korn technically started in the late 1980s under the band name L.A.P.D. Korns first CD came out in 1993 way before CC and Slipknot.
@@LeadMe2TheBliss no
@@t2av159 Yes. Korn were before both of those bands they pioneered the nu metal genre. Educate yourself.

October 2024 ❤who’s there 👀
live in melbourne in dec
Very few albums I can listen to all the way through and love every second of it...this is one of them.
For me, the thrill was seeing Tatjana Patitz, Brigitte Nielsen, and a glimpse of Shannyn Sossamon. (especially Tatjana, as a girl I had her pictures on my wall along with the other supermodels of the 80's). Thank you Korn.
KoRn were popular enough back then to bag popular models to act in their videos! 😎🤘🍻
Silveria is The Man
And you call your self a Korn and Rammstein fan? Pish Posh.....
*****
why, because I speak the truth? A true Korn fan knows the better drummer and it is Silveria. Anyone that has ears knows that....
+gunfuego The way he behaved really disgusted me
I cant say I liked how he acted towards the other members of the band either..wish they were on better terms that's for sure
I miss Silveria times man!
This video is a trip down memory lane for me.
I can’t remember my life without the music of this band. KoRn for life 🤘🏻
Almost 25 years later - This video still looks modern, so does the entire album.
Korn is nu metal of 2000s all lot of great music from korn rock and roll hall of fame
Goddam I feel great being a 90's teen. Music will never be the same!
"All I want in life is to be happy"
Closed caption says it's "All I want to know is if you hear me?'' I heard both since first listening to this piece... lyrics ( always open to interpretation)... just sayin' 😉
This is it. After 20 years, i have decided this is my favorite Korn song.
