Make sure to tie your floats together if you cut them so they don’t unravel! I personally like to leave them uncut (and a little bit loose) and just crochet over them! (look up strand and catch float method)

Just a small feedback-I ended up cutting all those parts in the middle for the head and many of the stitches came apart. Do not recommend doing that as now I have to go back and completely redo the head :((((
