Crossings have declined so far in January as Mexico has stepped up its enforcement, but Biden’s pledge to invoke a new “shut down” authority immediately upon signing a bill suggested that the border remained “overwhelmed.”
We do not need a bill to secure the border. We just need a leader who is willing to give the order.

It’s not that simple tho, republicans and democrats keep stalling so they can run off this. Republicans voted against compromise multiple times and democrats have refused to take action in general. You also have to take into account the safety and human rights of these migrants.

Hmm, as a Texan who's property tax has spiked 120% in one year, but I can't get a loan from a bank at that value due to artificial inflation due to housing issues and Texans being forced to pay for all the federal programs. Texas is 97+ percent privately owned by citizens, corporations, and large ranches. Those who trespass are generally treated with aggressive behavior. The federal government owes Texans billions due to federal laws and regulations forcing Texans to pay for federal regulations regarding the housing and care of illegal immigrants. Not to mention, these same federal ran camps and intake centers lost nearly 100,000 children while allowing Chinese chemicals to be turned into fentanyl and other drugs to kill 150,000 Americans last year. So yeah, im completely done with illegal immigrants(criminals by definition) getting special privileges over those who try to enter legally while trashing the areas they go through and putting themselves and their children in unwarranted danger. Any who, I'm losing my property due to the tax spikes, so what do I care.

They can be deported. Instead of spending money on Ukraine, we need to spend it on rewarding citizns for information leading to the deportation of illegal migrants and to ship them back. Thats a better expenditure of our tax dollars. We'd get rid of them AND get paid lol. I for one would have a full time job here in nyc.

Like they go to elsavador, peri, Colombia, Chile for asylum, but they just skip all of em and come over to the US, not to mention we got some coming from China and Africa. Problem is the people don't care about Ukraine. They care about their own country. Allowing 5000 every single day is over a million a year. This bill is a billion dollars and most of it's going to Israel. But it seems like everybody's conveniently ignoring that. I don't like this Democrat, Republican politics because all it does is drive the people apart and they don't focus on the real problems. Our country should come first. Our country should get the most out of the fruits of our labor. The rest of the world could destroy themselves for all I care. Or destroy each other. It has nothing to do with me.
