(Recently retired 40+ years C&G trade and apprenticeship) Mel, glad you are the sort of technician who is glad to pass on his knowledge. When I started my apprenticeship there were some skilled staff that were reluctant to pass on the knowledge. Fortunately some did. The skill mix of everyone grows by sharing knowledge and eventually we ourselves benefit. Fact, one of my trainees once showed me a little technique that had never occurred to me, how to get molten wax to stick to a soaking wet plaster model ( dental technology). Answer, pour boiling water over the wet model, the water on the surface of the model evaporates and leaves a dry surface onto which the wax will stick. My laboured point is that eventually the " expert" may one day learn something from the novices in his charge by imparting his skills on them and thereby encouraging their development.

Hey Mel. I know it would have been totally justifiable to not share these techniques since you depend on little 'secrets' to make a living but I just want to say a massive thank you for doing so. I haven't started flocking my big piece yet but this video has taught me so much. You definitely have at least another $1 a month coming your way. Totally deserving. Thanks again.

The musical interludes remind me of "The Draftsman's Contract".
"You've seen me sprinkle." Oooh, Matron.

I'm so glad Mel shared his technique, and now I can flock properly. All these years and I've been flocking without the proper technique. It wasn't bad mind you, got me by, no complaints, and others often comments my flocking certainly was a lot better than the average bloke. But this added another level to being able to lay down a good flock.

What an absolutely brilliant video, but then again all of your videos are 10 out of 10.
I watched this last night and have come back again tonight to take notes and that is why last night I put £10 into your Paypal account.
I do seriously believe that your videos are worth much more than that, because of the money that you are saving us, by sharing all of your expierience with us, but unfortunately I have Lymphoma Cancer and I'm off work, so only getting by on benefits.
BUT, I still felt the need to donate so that it would help to replace some of the materials that you use.
Many thanks for your priceless help... it's very much appreciated.
    Kind regards,
    Terry Bass
