This comment really brought a smile to my eyes... in fact I actually laughed out loud!
It is commentary like this that has made me a loyal subscriber to your channel.

It's how we roll bud
People telling you you need to protect your technique are crazy. Your work is awesome. Even with you showing people what you do you'll still be in demand for commission work because your stuff is awesome.
thanks mate
Yeah man. A lot of people would rather buy than build, and it would take someone SUPER skilled in their own right to match this work.
Thank you good sir, I have had to take a very early retirement on medical grounds from work and i was going crazy until I found your videos. Time to get back into my childhood hobby. Your videos have reminded me of the fun in diorama building i had as a kid. Thanks to you I have found my retirement hobby.
Awesome source buddy, welcome to the hobby!
Thank you for sharing with us. You are not loosing business from me nor did you create a competitor. I am just a kitchen table grandma that likes to create. Now I have a chance to have a quality "treasure". Good going!
I'm about a quarter of the way through your video and I am legitimately stunned by how good that board looks. You are an amazing artist.
Thanks mate

I just started doing terrain myself, I never thought about watering down the glue. I like that.

Great stuff, Mel. The flocking really gives that board some additional life.
thanks bud
this guy is pretty amazing to watch here on quarantine. simply amazing and relaxing to see him work.
When you did the "from that to this" pictures I actually swore. "Flippin' heck", I said, just like Tucker in Grange Hill.
The musical interludes remind me of "The Draftsman's Contract".
"You've seen me sprinkle." Oooh, Matron.
The amount of work and skill that has gone in to these boards is amazing; and the tutorials have been informative and entertaining.
That's going back some mate lol. Haven't seen that, is it any good? Thank mate, it's nice to be able to show off my artistic abilities for once
Thanks for sharing this! I got some good techniques out of it on the highlighting and blending.
Thanks for sharing dude...yea I want to get better on dioramas, so I appreciate you opening the curtain.

That's great to hear!
Thank you! this is exactly what I need. The scenery is absolutely gorgeous.
+Stephen Smith cheers
Brilliant stuff as always Mel....
+Richard Thomas cheers bud
I'm so glad Mel shared his technique, and now I can flock properly. All these years and I've been flocking without the proper technique. It wasn't bad mind you, got me by, no complaints, and others often comments my flocking certainly was a lot better than the average bloke. But this added another level to being able to lay down a good flock.
Are you kidding me?!?! Awesome diorama, and a very helpful video. Your easy to follow and entertaining method is excellent as well! Thanks and yes I hit the subscribe! Awesome! THANK YOU!!!
Thank you I'm about to start flocking myself and this is very helpful.
(Recently retired 40+ years C&G trade and apprenticeship) Mel, glad you are the sort of technician who is glad to pass on his knowledge. When I started my apprenticeship there were some skilled staff that were reluctant to pass on the knowledge. Fortunately some did. The skill mix of everyone grows by sharing knowledge and eventually we ourselves benefit. Fact, one of my trainees once showed me a little technique that had never occurred to me, how to get molten wax to stick to a soaking wet plaster model ( dental technology). Answer, pour boiling water over the wet model, the water on the surface of the model evaporates and leaves a dry surface onto which the wax will stick. My laboured point is that eventually the " expert" may one day learn something from the novices in his charge by imparting his skills on them and thereby encouraging their development.
Quite speechless to be honest ;) ... That's just absolutely awesome, and I've learned a few more tips - Keep up the great work!!
+Carl Mayne Awqesome on all counts bud
Thank you for this! Your legacy will live on the web for generations of hobby folks. :)
Cheers matey

Just started watching your vids. Unbelievable.....You are the Terrain Meister!!!!!!
Thank you!
Great video mate. Awesome work on that board.
Thank you so much for sharing!
You are a Master!
It was really peaceful watching you do this.
Thank you!
Really, really nice work!!
You are flocking great. Keep crackin' on.
What an absolutely brilliant video, but then again all of your videos are 10 out of 10.
I watched this last night and have come back again tonight to take notes and that is why last night I put £10 into your Paypal account.
I do seriously believe that your videos are worth much more than that, because of the money that you are saving us, by sharing all of your expierience with us, but unfortunately I have Lymphoma Cancer and I'm off work, so only getting by on benefits.
BUT, I still felt the need to donate so that it would help to replace some of the materials that you use.
Many thanks for your priceless help... it's very much appreciated.
Kind regards,
Terry Bass
Man, thank you soo much, it's difficult to put into words my appreciation mate, thank you
Another great video, Mel! I learned a ton.
I had no idea this technique of creating terrain even existed. Truly awesome. And well executed. Looks great!
Plenty more way to show you in the future bud
Amazing detail. I'm marveled at the project of this scope. I'm not sure how often I would use such a scene for my RPG games and even more boggled as to where I would store this & the multitude that you must create for your games. I appreciate the artistry in the design and creation.
Those D-day boards are amazing. Great tutorial, really useful info.
Thanks buddy
You improved your technique ! It's a pleasure to see your work.
Hands down the best terrain building advice page on RUclips.

looks absolutely stunning, and I thought it looked fantastic before you even started flocking,
doubt I'd ever get to your level, I doubt I'd ever have the time,

+Alex Williams hope you like it when you see it bud
Hey Mel. I know it would have been totally justifiable to not share these techniques since you depend on little 'secrets' to make a living but I just want to say a massive thank you for doing so. I haven't started flocking my big piece yet but this video has taught me so much. You definitely have at least another $1 a month coming your way. Totally deserving. Thanks again.
+William Reilly thanks on all counts bud, remember to work on a 1x1 test piece to get it down before you flock your big board
