Easy CHURCH for beginners Interior drawing

- In this easy tutorial we will be drawing cross arch ceiling and the interior of a church with the high windows in one point perspective . For this drawing lesson I used grey paper to show the lightfall but you can draw this also on white or any other color drawing paper. Drawing with Lineke Lijn I can practice in my little drawing journal, I love old medieval churches and cathedrals, I just did Jon constable Salisbury cathedral the outside, I was looking at others and the interiors which I would love to do but thought they would be beyond my skill level. I will definitely give this a try. I'm so glad that Jon put us onto you, watching you draw that portrait today helped me a lot for planning how to shade the little project I've embarked on which it totally out of my comfort zone but I believe I can do it , not perfectly but a good attempt

This is becoming more helpful as I watch more of your videos on point perspectives. I am trying to draw furniture on a one point perspective for my project. Would it be possible if you can do a small tutorial based on furniture, on a one or two point perspective ? It would really help a lot. And thanks for the helpful videos.

Yes, I have returned from my stay in England and came back with this beautiful inspiration of a lovely church for you ^.^ The weather was great but now here in Holland it is cold too and raining all day .... hmmmmm... Hi Lineke another great video on perspective. If one can really master perspective and apply that to all drawings ex. landscape, still life, whatever ...find the view point and concentrate your lines from there, then you have something to base your starting point so everything falls into place. Afterwards your shadows, tone, values come into play. Linke do not stop what you are doing ever as your videos are just fantastic. By the way Monday I start my next 12 week art session with my wife. I will share the pictures as they get completed....regards to you and your spouse

Silly question, (& embarrassing, considering I trained in architecture years ago but with health complications I now have memory losses among many others problems so just can't remember some of the simplest things) So when working out the thickness of the pillars & sightings/sidings, how is that best done and how do you work out what the other angles are for all the lines NOT going to the vanishing point including the lines where you do the thickness of the pillars & the lines to join them to the sightings/bottom stepped out part etc?? Or like if you were to put in stairs from its side view do you just use horizontal lines in that case? Sorry and thanks in advance. N.K :)

That looks like a railroad tunnel and all you need is some tracks....or it could be a wagon train like in the olden days of Jesse James! Ok umm now it’s beginning to look like a harem from the Ottoman Empire you know where the belly dancers lived! Ok I can see the arches I guess this is a church but I’m not seeing it looks like a palace hallway where the sultan of Brunei lives! Maybe this is a castle from Game of Thrones🤔
