Bulimia is no joke. Ben is. He's a monster, who has murdered, assaulted, and trafficked people, threatened the lives of peoples children, treats everyone around him like crap, makes everything about himself and is generally utterly incapable of empathy and therefore deserves none in return. You can't throw trauma at a truly dispicable character and expect people to sympathize.
You’re absolutely right in that eating disorders are no joke, and that it’s good that the show is showing that. But there’s a part of me that wishes that they had chosen a different character other than Ben to go through it because in the last four years, he’s had everything thrown at him but the kitchen sink. Regardless, it appears as though Max is doing well with this story.

Experienced this with a family member as well. She had a difficult life even at 29 years old. Frustrations from a failed relationship, university work etc. They just piled up and affected her mentally and physically
I dont get why people are so mean about ben but once we get to know whats happening to him we will know more like his ballimia that he has. Hes still struggling atm. Plus idk why callum had to bring up lewis but hopefully ben and callum can figure it out and tell eachother more instead of bottling it up. Plus it kills me to see them arguing it gets to me for some reason and like i said i hope that they can figure it out one day. We'll have to see what EastEnders brings us tomorrow.

Yes, he is suffering with bullimia BUT why not use one of the other actors. Ben always has to do all the 'drama'. The bullimia plot is being lost in Ben's continuous outbursts. Bulimics are quiet sufferers.

Bullimia is not always brought on by trauma, of which Ben has had many, but also by lack of self confidence etc. All I said was that Ben is always going through trauma, give another actor a chance to shine. Ben is a very good actor and can cope without all the special issues.

This is about spreading awareness, not distributing storylines amongst the actors. It's about portraying it convincingly. Ben being the one to have the ED makes the most sense. Giving it to someone else wouldn't.

Who's lewis ....and what i find so amazing with soaps is that someone steps in so soon after a death snd recognises something ..when grieving and dealing with eveything that comes with it eating is the last thing on your mind ,pity true life wasn't the same as soaps when random people know something is going on .
