What I don't understand about these controllers is that as the load is controlled by an external relay the controller cannot measure the load current. Yet the display still shows load current and wattage and so does the app. Is there some additional device that can signal the load current back to the controller, or am I missing something?
Hi, The load current/volts listed because we leave a backup plan for those who wants to customize our charge controller with load feature for bulk orders, so we have it on it, in case when it happens we don't need to redesign the controller firmware. For our common charge controller, we just put it on and no interface for load terminals.

What do Epever call "Absorption voltage " and what is it 🤔? Float voltage? I don't understand your terminology compared to other manufacturers. Very Very frustrating! Do you have any technical support in the USA???
The function of a temperature sensor is to detect the ambient temperature of the battery. It allows the controller to adjust the charging voltage given to the battery based on the ambient temperature. This provides better protection for the battery and extends its lifespan.
Why are the actual instructions different from your video? You show the controller's battery and pv cables being slipped into the terminals then tightened. The instructions show to open the clamp on the terminal before insertion then tighten. If you just insert the cables as you show wouldn't they be on the wrong side of the screw terminal? Shouldn't it be opened first?

It requires your diesel generator has the feature to receive this relay signals when battery drops to a certain point, the controller will send the signal to the generator and you can use the generator to charge the battery as a backup charging source. Not all generators have this feature.
I received a few days ago the EPEVER 6420 device. I have a problem. Three PVs of 450Wp each are connected (about 140V, maks. 10A). Battery 24V 100Ah. On a sunny day, the battery can only be charged up to 1A. When I turn on the inverter, it increases to about 2A. When it starts up other devices, the charging increases to 16A-20A. How to make the battery charge with a specific current, e.g. 10A? I looked closely at the software and found no such function. In addition, I would like to limit the voltage because it is sometimes above 30V and activates the protection in the converter. I am asking for help as I have been trying for a few days and exhausted my ideas. Thank you.
Hello SolarEpic, I have a Tracer 5420AN and thinking of upgrading my array to a Voc of 170v and Isc of 45A. Do you know whether this charge controller is capable of handeling that input? The specifications says Max Solar Input is 200V and it is a 50A charger controller as you may know. Thanks in advance for your assistance.
Hi, the 200V version will handle 170V (Voc) solar panel, but the solar panel's power, it can only handles 625W if you are charging 12v battery. We are not calculating the solar panel's current as the charge controller will step down the voltage and boost the current, 50A is the max current it can handle. So we will limit the input power.

So after numerous searches you are the only one showing installing the temp sensor. It is the reverse polarity light you took out .. correct?
That's what I wonder about. Epic Solar is not clear regarding the temp sensor.

The load/utility/generator dry contact to connect external devices conveniently composes a hybrid power system easily.
