Defo need more xD. Like I made my friend watch it whos just recently got into anime he’s been just non stop talking to me about it. It’s cool that there is show now that isn’t just popular just cuz of animation or fight scenes. But because of sweet and fun moments as well. Of course the action is awesome too.
@@kayagismann Then you can tell your friend about Non Non Biyori. Countryside wholesome anime. Though that one is slice of life so depends if they have any interest in such.
I’d recommend Perfect Blue. It’s not a traditional horror with jump scares but it’s definitely creepy. A mind melter of a movie imo. I think most horror anime are campy and not actually scary but I’d say Perfect Blue is actually a good thriller that makes you feel dread and horror.
Perfect Blue is one of the best movies I've ever seen. In fact, all of Satoshi Kon's works are masterpieces, in my opinion. Perfect Blue really made me feel like I was going insane while I was watching it.
What's amazing from this show is how dark it really is.(Killing, blackmail, manipulating, politics),yet at the same time its the most wholesome family anime i had ever seen 🤣
I've seen a lot of people mention this one and they are 100% on point, "Another" is an amazing classic horror anime that I'd definetly recommend. Lots of tense moments that keep you on the edge of your seat, wanting to know what happens next but at the same time fearing what could be around the corner. Very different and unique from other "horror" anime that I've seen. I think it would be a wonderful addition to the channel's roster and, personally, I think it's intro slaps. Love you guys and keep up the great content!
Spy x Family is definitely the best anime of this season, so you made the right choice by reacting to it😍 this, One Piece, jojo and jujutsu coming up, y'all are reaction to some good shit👌🏻👌🏻🔥
For horror anime, if you want a movie "Perfect Blue" is a must watch from the brilliant mind of Satoshi Kon. "Another" and "Shiki" are probably two of tge best horror series. The former being 12 episodes and the latter being 24 (maybe 26) episodes. Finally, I must mention "Hell Girl". However, the show is pretty long (around 60+ episodes, 26 per season except for season 4, which has 12, but half of them are just remakes of previous episodes). The show is pretty episodic, and most episodes will never be referenced again, but each season does have one overarching plot. I know that it is for this reason some people say tge show gets repetitive, and sometimes it does, but I personally thought it was really good, and I'm only half way through season 2
Since Loid is post war child he never had childhood also clearly had repressed memories/PTSD so he doesn't know how to treat children or give them childhood by being with Anya both will heal each other in their quirky way. About his code name Tasogare in Japanese has the meaning also of who are you but with different kanji the idea is you are unable to recognise the face which suits Loid a lot
"Higurashi no Naku Koro Ni" is a really good horror anime, even though it's also a psychological thriller. There aren't any jumps cares, but the atmosphere and feeling of the show can leave you tense and nervous(especially at certain points).
for horror anime, everyone's recommending Perfect Blue, and while that is absolutely fantastic it is a movie, not sure if that's the kind of thing you're looking for. The same creator made a series called Paranoia Agent, it has some pretty rough subject matter, but is also top tier. Parasyte messed with me when I was younger, heavy on body horror. I'm personally a fan of Monster, it's a bit of a slow burn, and much more psychological horror and drama than huge scares.
perfect blue isn’t necessary a horror movie, but it has some of the most mind bending and uncomfortable story telling that won’t bore you at all. so i would recommend perfect blue
Most horror anime's I've watched tend to be more gore oriented than scary like Tokyo Ghoul and Parasyte. If I have to mention, Corpse Party and Another were pretty horrifying to me back when I watched them.
I'd hesitate to call Parasyte a horror though... I'd say it's more of a psychological thriller with a lot of gore happening in it as well. Horror usually at least tries to scare the audience, but that's not the impression I got from Parasyte: I think the gore there is functional to bring the audience in the correct headspace (i.e. discomfort) rather than to horrify. Another reason why I think that is that usually good horror (even Japanese horror) tends to give as little information as possible about the supernatural events/creatures in it, while Parasyte is very generous with giving information about the parasites and their nature: giving information in order to create suspence is more of a thriller technique than horror. We might get somewhat of an idea of what drives the spirits in The Ring or The Grudge or Dark Water, but we never actually get to see things from their perspective, nor do we go in depth about their thought process or feelings, only what little is needed for the story to function. In Parasyte learning the ins and outs of parasite psychology is both a main goal and a major theme. We sometimes learn things about them before the protagonist does, because this creates tension for when he actually does have to face what we learned earlier. That's thriller 101.
I'd recommend Dorohedoro if you want a rare unique show that's both HORROR and COMEDY as well Dystopian Fantasy while also looking like a post apocalyptic world.
The top scary and gory sometimes are : -Higurashi no naku koro ni (all seasons) -Serial Experiments Lain -Yami Shibai - (short histories but 10 seasons lmao) -Corpse party tortured souls -elfen lied -Shiki im prob forgetting more animes but i thionk those are good ones
Paranoia Agent is a great psychological thriller. It's by Satoshi Kon (the same guy who did Perfect Blue). I feel like there's not many "scary" moments in it, but there's definitely an unsettling air throughout it. And it's only 13 episodes! The 30-second tv spot commercial for it used to come on at like midnight and scare the shit out of me lol.
Here is a list of horror anime series that i think you guys might enjoy watching Junji ito Collection Boogiepop phantom (2000) Elfen lied Shiki Another Devil man crybaby Serial experiments lain Uzumaki by Junji Ito (release date October 2022) This last one is hands down one of the best horror manga series ever can't wait to watch the anime adaptation.
Definitely not Junji Ito collection. Sure it's horror, but the adaptation isn't really that good. That's mostly because the true horror if his works are the hyper detailed drawings that the anime just didn't bother with. The others I agree with though, and I hope Uzumaki turns out great when it's released as well
As for horror anime I only watched Higurashi no Naku Koro ni, Another, Blood C, Elfen Lied and Shiki. They all are cool and creepy, but I dunno if there is better ones out there. Also that kinda of anime is more of bloody/creepy stuff, usually there is not many jumpscares, jumpscares are usually used in movies and games. Still you guys could capture every disgusting face instead of scared faces lmao.
Omggg yes!! Spy x Family is one of my top mangas and series out there, so glad you both enjoyed it. Been following ya'll since your Boruto reactions :) Always love you reactions!
Wanna know something funny? the characters that i find the most interesting in this Episode/Chapter, aren’t any of the Major Characters within this Chapter/Episode, but it’s actually two Background Characters, the First Two Girls that we get to see when Twilight first steps in the Orphanage, one Longer the other Shorter, the Longer Girl appears to have Brown Hair that Curls Up over her cheeks, with a Big Red Bow on Top of her head and sort of has Half-Open Eyes, While the Shorter Girl appears to have Black-Brown Hair, with a Small White Bow on the Right Side of her head and has Big Round Eyes(though they aren’t that big the Anime) will Snot Running Down her Nose, she also Stands In Front of the Orphanage Owner when the other kids sees Anya off in the Anime, They are both amongst the very First Kids we get to see when Loid first steps inside the Orphanage in the Anime and is the Only Kids Drawn Clearly in the First Panel of the Second Page of when Loid is at the Orphanage in the Manga and in both the Manga and the Anime they are Standing Beside Each Other, I can’t really think of any other reason as to why i got so attached to these two Unnamed Orphan Girls, other than that i just found their characters designs interesting, When i first laid my eyes on them, i couldn’t help but let my imagination go wild with ideas and i just sort of ended up evolving them into being more recurring and prominent characters, If you’re curious about what kind of developments i gave them, then you could just give me a Reply and i can try telling you in detail, but the short version is that i pretty much just made them into Eden Academy Students, just like Anya.
Maybe, have you guys tried 'Paranoia Agent' yet? Not technically gory horror, but DEFINATELY on the psychological part. It has a sense of disturbing realism, but I can't explain too much for the suspense of it. This Anime came out in 2005 I think!
Yess, we've got loads in this show! The politics, comedy, action, family stuffs, ... that's just the wholesome combination you cannot skip! I'm super glad that you did the reaction of this, thanks a bunch 🙌🏻 You'll easily love the Forgers especially our cutie pie, Anya. I feel like, watching SpyxFamily has become a pleasant part of my weekly me-time. 🌱
"Another " Would be the Best "Horror anime" to react to (higurashi is also as good but longer and I would only react to highlights) I love horror so pls correct me if I'm wrong. Cause everything else I seen was OK at best
Higurashi 2006, Corpse Party, Another, Shiki, Hell Girl, Paranoia Agent, School Live!, Mirai Nikki, Monster and/or Gantz, seriously you can take your pick.
Hm... horror huh? I feel a lot of people went with Perfect Blue which tbh is one of the best ones. I don't think there's many out there like it to top it. I would recommend Akira, mostly because it has many elements that would describe it as a suspense/supernatural movie. But by this point everyone and their mother have seen it. Memories (1995) is also a classic. Wicked City and Lily Cat, mostly for their cult classic status, dunno if they're going to be scary to you guys, but you never know. Also I would be down if you watched old western horror films. I mean The Shining (1980), Psycho (1960), The Thing (1982), Misery (1990) and American Psycho (2000) are classics and want to see you guys react to it ;)
Yay!!!! Omg I loved this anime from the first ep yesss please keep reacting it only gets better XDD Oh ye if you guys haven't watched it yet; Death Parade is pretty good for horror-ish anime? It's psychological thriller but ye it's pretty good at freaking you out 😂
It seems like a few months has pass by, i just finish you guys reacted to assassination classroom and jujutsu kaisen, and now came to spy family. I recommend you guys the horror anime “Another” it’s not the jump scare type, but the atmosphere makes audiences feel suppressed.
A really great psychological horror is Monster by Naoki Urasawa! Not a lot of people have reacted to it which is a shame because it’s an amazing anime.
'Shiki' is a great horror; the only problem is it starts VERY slowly (also has some of the weirdest hairstyles in anime lol); but the payoff is worth it imo; though perhaps not the most exciting show to react to, overall. It has a couple of decent scenes, but nothing too special in that way. 'Higurashi' is also great (though I've only seen season 1 of the 2006 anime, planning to watch the 2nd season soon), just absolutely avoid the dub; I think this one is much better suited for the reaction. 'Another' has good visuals and great sound design, but it kinda doesn't know what it wants to be and has lost me somewhere in the middle (though, the unnerving/mysterious atmosphere during the first few episodes was very well done). Should be decent enough reaction-wise, I think. 'Mononoke' is somewhat of a hidden gem; very unique artstyle (also maybe check the last arc of 'Ayakashi: Japanese Classic Horror'; Mononoke is a spin-off of that arc; I didn't care too much for other 2 Ayakashi arcs, but that last one was amazing). Don't think either would be great for reacting, though. Haven't watched 'Corpse Party' so don't know for myself if it's good, but from what I heard it's mostly gore and the game is much better than the anime. Most of the horror I like is more atmospheric and psychological though. Don't care too much for gore or jumpscares (I don't think I can even think of a horror anime with that many 'typical' jumpscares; but there would certainly be a good amount of 'fked up' moments in some shows, like Higurashi). Other than those, I can think of a few shows that I wouldn't call "pure" horror, like Shinsekai Yori (a very unique show; blend of sci-fi - though quite a different take on sci-fi, supernatural, mystery and horror), Parasyte (pretty decent action/horror with some minor philosophical themes/ideas), Hellsing Ultimate (action/horror, very entertaining; also check the Abridged by TeamFourStar, it's fantastic), Dorohedoro (action/comedy with some horror elements; was very fun to me, very loveable characters), Tokyo Ghoul (action/horror, first season is good, after that it gets kinda whacky with how they handle adapting the manga). Most of these are more suited for the 'normal' reaction, though. On the side note, to take a break from the horror, a very cute slice of life show that I absolutely want to recommend to everyone is 'School-Live'.
This is a long shot, but Ayakashi: Japanese Horror Tales and its sequel, Mononoke, have drop dead gorgeous art, and are both fairly short. I enjoyed Jigoku Shoujo/Hell Girl as well, but it’s episodic and varies a lot.
I recommend Angels of Death if you want a horror anime. It's the only horror anime I've watched and I remember being very creeped out by it multiple times.
Ghost Hunt is a pretty good horror & mystery anime for me. It gave me the creeps. Though I'm not sure where it's available now. Hellsing Ultimate is pretty great as well!
Horror anime: Higurashi. Kings game, Another, Shiki. Black butler, From the New World, School days(lol) Tho horror anime tend to be more gore than anything.
if you're looking for a horror anime I definitely recommend Parasyte. Not much in the jumpscare aspect but definitely creepy with a super interesting narrative. I'd totally recommend it
Horror anime, huh? Try: Attack on Titan, Parasyte, Tokyo Ghoul, Higurashi series, High School of the Dead, Another, Sankarea, Ajin, Gyo, Uzumaki (upcoming anime), and Tomie.
I’d recommend watching Grand Blue, a really great and funny show. So hyped for SxF, I read all of it in just a few days, two weeks ago, it’s soooo pleasant !!
Horror awesome anime i love tbh is Shiki. Dunno about much jumpscsres, but it really has awesome horror atmosphere if you try watch it without giggling.
Or outright Mononoke but it has very cultural influenced storyline so it might be hard to follow because they aren't thst versed into the colture not to mention mythology
Horror is a strange Genre for anime, either it's gory and campy or its Psychological. I don't think it's super scary but Death Parade is a good Psychological horror series to look into.
Mieruko-chan it's like horror anime but at the same time a lot of fanserver. I personally didn't finish cuz I got scared easily so I didn't pass the first ep. I also think the anime got a lot of controversy cuz of its fanserver so idk
This show is pretty good, really good! And for spooky anime check out dead man Wonderland, it's about as popular as assassination classroom. (Also you guys are nearly at 20k! Cock reveal possibility?)
Nobody mention, but first season of TerraFormars is rather kreepy and nervous... But next season made by another studio, so atmosphere and suspense were totally ruined BTW, same effects have Psycho Pass, it really can chill your back Already mentioned in other comments - Parasite, Higurashi, Another
horror anime just dont work.... ig if you want you can always watch manga stories on youtube of junji ito's one shots or some animated stories of his but they cannot be compared to manga dude is a genius tho I recommend you check out his work
Anime have very good psychical horror series in my oppinion. If you say don't work because od stuff like Ito's it is because his artstyle is very hard to be adapted but thriller/ horror / psychological series thst involve less gore and disturbing scenes and more mental torment are often very hood adaptations or original series . Even more obscure stuff like mononoke work really well being animated
Those aren't horror morr like Psychological or suspense ? Horror especially psychological horror could be Shiki , Another [ tho both involved blood the horror comes from the atmosphere or the strong moral and philosophical dilemma] older series are Monster,Mononoke a bit different take is Aku no hana, Psycho pass and the classic series Higurashi
This show is too damn wholesome! Let's see if you guys want more of these reactions to follow!

the First Two Girls that we get to see when Twilight first steps in the Orphanage, one Longer the other Shorter,
the Longer Girl appears to have Brown Hair that Curls Up over her cheeks, with a Big Red Bow on Top of her head and sort of has Half-Open Eyes,

Yeah seconding Ayakashi Japanese Tales and Mononoke for horror series.
"Another" is the only horror one I can remember
Tokyo Ghoul maybe?
I think you should watch Tomodachi Game. The anime is very good and the manga is amazing. I never saw so big brain actions in one anime
Watch out for MAMA FORGER!! 🤗🤗
For Psychological horror I always love Madoka Magica
My fave horror anime is Higurashi no naku koro ni ^^ both the original 2006 one and the recent sequel series Higurashi Gou and Sotsu ^^
Monster is a great horror type anime. Kinda thriller though
Black butler, From the New World, School days(lol)
Tho horror anime tend to be more gore than anything.
One horror anime you can try is corpse party: tortured souls another is hellsing ultimate.
id said those are more gore than scary tho
@@iTsMe-Garek I really don't know of much horror anime they're creepy at times though or at least corpse party is.
@@CB7368 kinda
Mieruko-chan was a great horror anime.
if you're looking for a horror anime I definitely recommend Parasyte. Not much in the jumpscare aspect but definitely creepy with a super interesting narrative. I'd totally recommend it
Corpse party and When They cry are some of my favorites horrors
Ghost stories. Great horror anime. BUT you have to watch the english dubbing YOU HAVE TO.
The first thing that comes to mind when thinking about horror anime is higurashi
Hi if your looking for horror anime, #1 recommendation is Junji Ito's works...
Twilight was a War Orphan.
Horror awesome anime i love tbh is Shiki. Dunno about much jumpscsres, but it really has awesome horror atmosphere if you try watch it without giggling.
i believe another is a horror anime and zankyou no terror is a psychological horror one
Check out other people's reactions to the show, it seems to be fun to react to. The range of emotions and humor in the show lands well.
"Boss, maybe we should give up on the toupee-"*DED*
bruh why is this man so anti-hairpiece
I wonder if Evangelion counts as horror anime. Probably, given what they go through.
Horror recommendation huh i would say Dark Gatherings its Pokémonish with lot of very dark horror and action with little comedy
Magical Girl Site, Gantz.
Higurashi is psychological horror, you have to watch the original series an not the “2020” version though. Because it’s not an actual reboot.
Horror anime huh? How about Ghost Stories? It's very scary.
Spy X family is the best
I love it!
Yami shibai is the og horror short anime bro
Or outright Mononoke but it has very cultural influenced storyline so it might be hard to follow because they aren't thst versed into the colture not to mention mythology
Horror is a strange Genre for anime, either it's gory and campy or its Psychological. I don't think it's super scary but Death Parade is a good Psychological horror series to look into.
Mieruko-chan
it's like horror anime but at the same time a lot of fanserver. I personally didn't finish cuz I got scared easily so I didn't pass the first ep. I also think the anime got a lot of controversy cuz of its fanserver so idk
Maybe not scary but higuroashi is very "freak out'y".
He has week to start mission.
Yamishibai is pretty decent.
I mean, I know this is a little old. But as far as horror anime goes... would "Elfen Lied" count? Or "Shiki".
I just wanted to ask will you be doing JoJo stone ocean reactions?
Yeah they'll come after Part 5 and Rohan OVA's
This show is pretty good, really good! And for spooky anime check out dead man Wonderland, it's about as popular as assassination classroom.
(Also you guys are nearly at 20k! Cock reveal possibility?)
Ayo what?😭
Lmao
try sum junji ito series, not jumpscare but spooky to think bout
Nobody mention, but first season of TerraFormars is rather kreepy and nervous... But next season made by another studio, so atmosphere and suspense were totally ruined
BTW, same effects have Psycho Pass, it really can chill your back
Already mentioned in other comments - Parasite, Higurashi, Another
Corpse Party and Another for a terror experience!
Sorry, late... But I recommend "another" for horror anime
Horror animes - Tokyo ghoul,Monster,Death Parade, Psycho pass, etc.
I'd go for Parasyte because you guys seem to hate Body Horror...
horror anime just dont work.... ig if you want you can always watch manga stories on youtube of junji ito's one shots or some animated stories of his but they cannot be compared to manga dude is a genius tho I recommend you check out his work
you should definitely check out monster! it can be creepy at times and has an amazing, engaging story!
Has anyone suggested Shimoneta yet?
horror anime? The Promised Neverland.
I cant really think of anything else… Re:Zero can be very scary at times, maybe Parasyte.
@@behindzerosp Thinking of anime that I know. It would be impossible for me to recommend those because I’ve never heard of them.
Horror anime? Check out the first two seasons of Jigoku Shoujo, they are great.
